Towing Capacity

My wife is looking to buy an 80th Anniversary JL (4 door). It does not come with a trailer hitch. So I started looking at aftermarket to add a hitch and I’m confused on the max capacity. I thought all 4 doors were 3500 lbs. I found an aftermarket that said it was only 3500 with weight distribution. Is that accurate? Thanks

no maybe that aftermarket one does but the Mopar factory one is just 3500# i bought a curt brand one for the wrangler it's 3500# and then 4000# with weight distribution hitch.
