I couldn’t find similar so I have a question:

When you’re riding topless with doors off are you not concerned someone’s going to mess with your vehicle? I don’t leave anything of value in the Jeep and I don’t lock anything so no one has a reason to break stuff.

I’m just worried I’ll come out of the store to a homeless orgy going on in my new baby.

Irrational fear?
Not a homeless orgy, but I did find a homeless guy sleeping in my Jeep and he drank my warm Sonic slush and stole my change.

Dont leave anything in plain sight with or without the doors and hardtop off. Tuck it away or place it in the bottom cargo area, even by the jack theres some space to hide things in.

You'd get arrested for riding topless around here, especially with the doors off...
But, on a serious and more mature non-booby joke note, get an always on dashcam that points both ways (got my dad one for his cab). It may not prevent anything, but you could get some funny videos/evidence.

It is not a jeep story but a story about a BMW. My friend had just bought her new BMW M3 in Portland. She had shown it to a few friends if forgot to lock the door. Middle of the night the police knocked on her door and asked her to come look at her car. When she went out she found that a homeless man had set camp up in her rear seat and his two dogs were sleeping On her front seats. The car stank until the day she sold it

Now see, that’s just asking for someone to reach in and take the camera. The idea is to leave nothing of value in the Jeep that anyone would reach in and grab...

I keep my jeep naked from may to holloween rain or shine, I keep a bikini top in the back for when its raining of stupid hot. In 8 years i've never had anything stolen or messed with. Its not unusual for me to have a tool bag and small battery tools in the back still no issues. Only issue I've ever had with someone going in my jeep was I once came out of Costco and seen a young child standing on my drivers seat with hands on the wheel while his Dad was taking pics. I hit the alarm button and the guy grabbed his kid and ran. If he had waited for me to come out and asked I'd have no problem with it I'd even have offered to drive them around the parking lot lol. As far as birds? Jeeps been hit a few times but so far I haven't. Cheers

Had top off at least 60 days a year in my TJ, and doors off for 15 or so of that.

Found a pop bottle or two over the 5 years I had it.

Im glad I read this thread and want to share a quick story! So I work for CDJR (Chrysler, dodge, jeep, ram) as a sales associate and jeep specialist. This was before I bought my JL but tops down doors off on a warm week in December last year. I was driving a 2017 Rubicon Recon

So Day 2 of the doors being off and the detail guy at the dealership comes running in and says there is some tweeker (skinny white kid) sitting in my Jeep. Boss man yells at me to make sure he gets off our lot. I quickly get out there and sure enough this kid is in the driver seat, opening the console and glove box just looking around. (Backstory, I lived in Missouri where we certainly have tweeker/meth issues). Remember my boss had told me to run this kid off.

Turns out he is certainly no tweeker. Just a rich kid wearing some $1000 Armani like PJs as a day suit!
No intention of robbing me at all or stealing change to buy drugs or alcohol. Kid just thought it was a good looking Jeep so he sat down. Once my anxiety had subsided we began to chat and turns out he's a pretty cool dude! Darin bought two vehicles cash that day, a Challenger TA 392 for him, and a Jeep Sahara JK for his mother! over $100,000 cash after all said and done! Then came back and got a JL for himself the moment they arrived. Darin is now a friend of mine and Im helping him build up his JL, he is hands down one of my best clients!

This was a great reminder that things are not always as they seem! He're are a couple shots of Darin and his rides!

That only happens in Prius, keep an eye open for dirty Mike and the boys, if you smell mustard or see any stray poodles hose the Jeep down!

Hey, a different question; what are the safety implications (side or frontal collision) when driving with the doors off?
Worse than with them on but better than a motorcycle accident I suppose.

I used to go doors off / topless quite often in my JK over the 4 years I owned it. Had several rainstorms soak the seats, but I had removed the carpet and drain plugs, and I eventually got a trail cover that helped a ton! Only time anyone messed with it was when it was parked at the airport garage for a week and when I got back, someone had adjusted my seat - pretty sure they just sat in it to see what it was like (4" lift and 37s)

But “time”. Sorry I said anything. Try staring into a SoCal sun heading east in rush hour with cheap sunglasses. You would be one of the jerks holding up traffic.
Do you not realize that expensive sunglasses are made of the same materials, cost the same to produce, and have no engineered benefits over cheap ones? Luxottica has a monopoly on the market and artificially inflates their prices to make you feel that they are higher quality.
