I use 91 0ctane non ethanol Mobil. It costs $3.09 per gallon. It definitely improves mileage.Use it in the Allroad and my bike. Top tier
Agree, I have been using the premium for the past few months and have noticed a big difference in mileage per tank.

Coming out of high-strung 4cyls (Honda F20C and KA24), one of the big advantages of the Jeep is a low-tech, low-stressed 3.6L engine that runs on any old regular swill gas. There's a Speedway around the corner from my house, I can't imagine it's particularly high grade gas, but it's the most convenient to get in and out of and the prices are reasonable. So I buy gas there, unless I happen to be near Costco when I need gas, then I buy there. If I had the 2.0T I'd probably be more picky.

Also, if I'm honest, if I hadn't leased I'd also probably be more picky ;)

Actually, it is not a scam. No need for the Seafoam if you are running Top Tier.
Yes it is. I "grew up" in the petroleum business and this program is sold to big-petroleum companies as a margin-enhancer and a way to combat "gar price wars" by having a differentiator.

This is a MARKETING program to improve MARGINS and nothing to do with a better product to the consumers.

Why do I get better mileage with 91 octane hi test non ethanol than I do with 93 0ctane ethanol gas ? And way better mileage than 87 octane regular

Whatever the octane in the manual says I run. It's not an F1 car. It's an engine that will out live my intended vehicle lifespan. I am not discounting the fact that there is a difference in each fuel, I am not consuming it. I will take the extra cash to use for other maintenance.

I think 91 octane is recommended for the 4cyl turbo

Premium gas in Canada will run you 30 cents more a litre. The extra cost wouldn’t cover up the fill up ratio here.

You are mixing up TopTier "branded" gas versus just good gas.

Higher octane non-ethanol gas will certainly give you better performance and mileage (assuming your engine can take advantage of it - most modern EFI or DI engines can).

What I am saying is a scam is "TopTier" branded gas as it means nothing except some special detergents they claim improves engine cleanliness as a marketing/margin grab.

Finding a good 91/93 octane non ethanol gas is what you need to do; and not worry if it's "Top Tier" branded or not. If it's not it's likely 10% to 15% cheaper for the same octane and ethanol content.
