Are you concerned about rain on the leather? Is that not an issue, or do you have covered parking?

Ya I live in Georgia where the weather can change 7 different times in the span of 24 hours haha. Have to be prepared for just about anything in this part of the country. Cant wait until someone makes a brief top and a tonneau cover and gets it out on the market.I live in Redondo Beach, southern California, where it rains a handful of times per year. And when it does, you know it's coming, unlike the northeast where it can rain at random.
My townhouse and office have an indoor gated garage, so my Jeep never sits outside. It's rained once since I've been here, and I drove my backup ride, a 2018 Pacifica (I'm loyal to FCA!)
So far I've only taken my Jeep on day trips to deserts and beaches, so I haven't had to deal with weather. But I'm planning a trip to the mountains, so I'd like to buy a cab cover.
Yes please post pics here, I'd love to see.Nice but... you lost the access to the rear storage and you have an extra item to lock.
I just put the Tuffy Security box in my JL and it fits without losing that access plus locks via the tailgate making it much easier to use. I’ll post pictures if anyone want to see.
It took me few days to snap some pictures but this Tuffy Security Deck is working out really well for me. The only mod to it was I had the top covered with Line-X to make it more durable.Yes please post pics here, I'd love to see.
I don't lock mine either - the closed and locked tailgate makes it impossible to slide out the box drawer.
I agree with you, this is a more elegant solution than the security box, and way more space. It took me few days to snap some pictures but this Tuffy Security Deck is working out really well for me. The only mod to it was I had the top covered with Line-X to make it more durable.
I bought it direct from TuffyI agree with you, this is a more elegant solution than the security box, and way more space.
Can you link me the part number and where you bought it?

Nothing is cheap for the new JL but I didn’t think $425 was bad either. I’m very happy with it.
Awesome! Can you show a picture of the box with the shelf in frame, so we can get an idea?Just finished installing this last weekend - shipped direct from Smittybilt depot took about two days (FAST!). The instructions here for the installation were spot on. My only issue is that the box is HEAVY (like 90lbs?)... but, it works fantastic, easy to install, and solid. The other thing I would note is that I had a VORTEC shelf installed, with the Smittybilt box installed, that space between the top of the box and the bottom of the shelf is VERY usable space, I have two FrontRunner boxes that fit in that space!
Awesome. Looks like you fully utilized ALL the space!I'll take lots of pictures this weekend, and post them up. One other thing that was important to me (might not be as important to others) is useable space. The area directly behind the rear seat in the cargo area, at the bottom with the seat folded down, and in front of the Smittybilt box is PERFECT for stowing an ax, or anything else that you may want quick access to but didn't want inside the box
