This is the Tuffy system for around 4 to 500 bucks. It's what I started with but I have since moved to the Diabolical at over 3k.
If you were in Missouri, I would make you a hell of a deal on my old Tuffy box. It does the job but it is way over priced for what it is.

I get the budget thing but if I added up all the wasted money I've spent just to upgrade later I would be sick, so I don't do that. But do your research and get what you want, even if you have to save up to get it. You'll be better off in the long run and much more happy.

*disclaimer* the Tuffy does not come with the rubber diamond plate.

Thanks for your insights into these systems. I like the Tuffy, but it does seem overpriced. That is why I liked the Hooke, but the one thing that isn’t clarified anywhere that I could see is if it can be installed with the top off then put the top on above it without having to remove first.

I like the diamond decking addition. If I had a few days for a road trip I would take you up on your offer.

Is $250 worth the drive?

I need to post it on here but I don't feel like reading all the rules for that. I'd take 200 if any show me states are reading. 😏 That offer applies to you as well.

No experience with the Hooke option but can tell you the Tuffy is great. I had it in JKU and now in my JLU. It is solid and built well. never hesitate to leave anything locked in the tailgate when going top off and doorless
+1 for Tuffy.

I bolted a rack made of 8020 to the lid for additional storage.

The Diabolical Slipstream Security Enclosure makes the most use of the space in the rear area, is the best designed and best looking in my opinion. It would be most difficult to break into as well. It's design is clever and well finished. It is also remarkably convertible and functional. It is pricey but in my opinion is well worth the price. It works with my hardtop of my 2024 Rubicon X but will also work with the softtop and One Touch top configuration. I am real pleased by how it works for me and have much more peace of mind about security. It is very solid, heavyduty built, and quiet with no squeaks or rattling. The instructions for installation were very thorough and I was able to install it myself.

It looks awesome and secured. Definitely I will do mine the same. Are you able to put a fridge inside the cargo and what size?

*Update* I found a DV8 Offroad Rear Storage Security Cover on FB Marketplace for $250 from a guy who sold his Rubicon and bought a Bronco 🤭. Took a while to install, because I had to drill two holes to allow the hardtop to be installed on top of it. I will post an update in a few months on my experience with it.

I could not tell you about fridge because we don't have one. We kept a yeti cooler in there. You'll have slightly more room with the Tuffy than the Diabolical with the sliding floor, but my yeti still fits. Barely.

Did you ever have issues with the tuffy box being wobbly or flimsy? We just installed one and I can lift the whole back left corner up like 2 inches.

No, it shouldn't move that much. I don't believe it's anchored properly.

Interesting. We took it apart and put it together 3 different times and had the same outcome. There is only 2 bolts going into the floorboard. One on each side.

I added 4 more brackets for a total of 6. I used heavy duty Simpson Strong-Tie L-brackets from Home Depot. The mounting points are already there.

That's strange. It's been a while since I've had that system but I could have sworn it had two anchors per side. I never had anything move even a little. It was tight enough you couldn't get anything under it to pry. Have you contacted Tuffy?
