That's strange. It's been a while since I've had that system but I could have sworn it had two anchors per side. I never had anything move even a little. It was tight enough you couldn't get anything under it to pry. Have you contacted Tuffy?
Morning, we haven’t yet. I wanted to check here to see if we just missed something lol. Probably will do that today. Other than that it looks nice, but it has a ton of movement.

Apologies for butting in. I bought mine 3 years ago and it only came with two brackets, and you can see there are only notches in the bottom edge in the middle of the sidewalls and holes drilled for two brackets. Besides adding 4 of my own brackets, I ditched the wing nut knobs for regular hardware which allows you to tighten things together better for added rigidity. Unless you’re going to be frequently taking the box in and out, there’s little point to the wing nut knobs In my opinion. I added the extra brackets because I keep a lot of weight under there and wanted more strength in the event of a rollover offroad.

Just installed the diabolical slipstream on the JLU. Got it on here for $200 brand new in box. Just keep your eyes peeled!!
That's an unbelievable deal at $200 shipped. Someone must have been cleaning out their garage and wanted it gone.

Thanks for the ideas and insight here. That may be the way that I have to go. It’s just adding more anchors. We felt like we did something wrong installing it because it was so flimsy. The back left corner can come up so much that somebody could put their hand underneath it and not that that is a worry just more so for sharing how much it can come up. I was just trying to see if there was another way or if we did something wrong before adding more anchors.

I’m not sure if this video will work but here it is moving.

I don’t remember mine lifting quite that much but it’s been a while. I can tell you the brackets they provide could be made to work at the mounting points in the floor nearest the tailgate If they will sell them to you, or if you can make a case for them free because of your dissatisfaction. But if you want to attach to the back wall you will want something like the Simpson strong-ties because of the distance to that bolt, if I remember right the back wall isn’t at a 90 and I bent the bracket in a vise slightly. I’m sure you can figure all this out yourself, but if I can help with any pics or info let me know.

Yeah that’s not right. Are the sidewalls slid downward tightly against the horizontal part of the L bracket, and the wing nut knob cranked down? If so I’m not sure what’s going on there

Thank you for all the help and ideas! We are super excited about the enclosure but this wobbly part makes us not so sure about it. I’ll try a few more things. I feel pretty confident we have it in correctly

My Tuffy security box is about the same. Its very flimsy and doesn't feel too secure. The nylon wheels wouldn't fit in the grooves on the side pieces, I needed to file them down at least a 1/4" to get them to fit. The lid is tweaked where it oil cans whenever its opened. It is the one purchase that I have made that I regret, the quality is considerably subpar based on what they charge for it. My console vault from Tuffy is great, I have them in all of my vehicles and expected this to match that quality.

My main problem with the flimsyness of it is that it makes the lid really hard to open and close since the whole box shifts around

Once I made the rollers smaller, my lid opens and closes easily. The sides aren't super solid, but they aren't flimsy enough to impact the functioning of the lid. I'm using the 1 L bracket per side but do plan to add 1 more per side.

I paid ~$50 to have it shipping from CA to NY. It also came with the molle panels which was unexpected.. awesome deal!!

I would doubt that it was legit at that price. It was a steal.

Was thinking the same thing, but have no data other than price.

Disgruntled spouse possibly....
