“See! They’re staring at us! I told you it looked dorky not removing the rear doors in a four door!”

Probably a dumb question but been curious about this. If, I'm riding with my top down, or top down and doors off, and the guy in front of me sneezes (he's got his windows open), am I at good risk of catching Corona Virus? In other words "Don't tell me I can't ride around with my top down"...
Just drive really really fast and the virus won't have time to infect you.

Probably a dumb question...
The wind will carry everything it can in your direction: pollution, pollen, bugs, viruses, etc. And there’s little you can do about it.

By the way, there are too many things wrong with the image posted earlier of the masked, distracted driver holding his dirty phone.

It's a very very very small chance of anything bad happening. Non-zero is worse than zero, but we gotta live our lives. Related to that- I do find it kind of gross when I'm topless/doorless and can smell the vape from someone in the douchmobile in front of me.

The virus lingers in the air longer than previously thought and it can travel 27 feet. That’s what I heard today on the news or read somewhere.
Here's a little info. Covid19 can linger in the air for some time. Article says for hours.

Then there is how much of the virus is actually in the air? Does the virus linger in the air at high enough levels to be a risk to most people who are not physically near an infected person.

I should also note, if you're already going outside your home you've already taken and accepted any risk. Whether you have your doors and or roof on or off doesn't really matter at that point.

I’m not going to worry about it. I figure we’re in open air and after the rain this weekend we’re expecting here I can’t wait to pull my windows out again.

I intend to channel my inner Stig and wear my full face motorcycle helmet in my Jeep when I have the top off. :fingerscrossed:

Or if you didn't off yourself the second you were old enough to understand that there are things in the world that can kill you, you've already accepted all risks. We want guarantees where there are none and like to feel like we're in control when we're not.... like thinking we can control an invisible virus that's sweeping the globe to which we have no immunity. The good news is that there's no reason to panic because it's nowhere near as bad as the mainstream news would have you believe

The above mentality is part of the problem. Downplay this to someone who just lost a friend or family member who should still be here. People downplaying this upsets me, because there is a pretty good chance they aren't taking the precautions they should and/or taking this as serious as they should.

It is absolutely as bad as the media is making us believe.

I actually own 2 of those masks, and can offer a possible explanation. Its not worth it to be taking off and on every time you get in and out of the car/Jeep (hehe). So if this person was out running errands, he could be thinking "Hell, I don't want to take this thing off again and have to put it back on in 10 min and re-adjust it".
Eric, you and JLU818 missed the point. I said wearing that mask for “saftey”, the dude’s got his face buried in his cell phone!
