I have a lot of tools but poorly organized, looking for pics on those that have their tools nicely organized, doesn’t matter whether harbor freight or snap on tool brands, mostly interested in some pics on how to organize my cabinet drawers so that Tools are readily located when turning wrenches. Post’em if you got’em.

I got sick of rummaging through drawers to find things like sockets and wrenches that were not easy to keep organized, small or had multiples of. over the winter I added a steel backboard to my bench. I added two small shelves for sockets and got a set of socket holders and also built a rack for wrenches. That alone freed up two drawers in my tool box and put the most common tools out in sight, quick and easy to reach. Now if I come across a tool that doesn’t have a place in the box I just bend a peg or holder to fit and weld it to the backboard where I want. Made some small shelves to hold drill bits and hole saws as well. Things like clamps and vice-grips are all stored in shelves under the pull out welding table on the left side of the bench, it keeps them in reach during welding jobs and out of the boxes.

after the picture I also bought a rolling bench top box to organize my cordless tools and electrical wiring tools. I don’t really have anything like dividers in the box drawers, but getting more commonly used tools out on the backboard helps. No major name brand tools in my shop, I’m always bending, cutting or modifying tools for different jobs and I’d rather cut up a cheap Home Depot tool than a pricey snap on. My shop is in a constant state of evolution, I’m always coming up with a new idea.

Great work area @Atomic-Mouse.
@GoatHerder check out garagejournal forums for a few thousand hours of reading on tools and workshops from the practical to the over the top insane. There are many good threads and ideas about organizing tools.
You can find great info without spending too much time (as long as you don’t go down too many rabbit holes.)

I have a lot of tools, and it drives me crazy if they are in a mess. So I choose this custom EVA tool box, which can customize the storage space for each of my tool parts, ensuring that I can see them at a glance when I need them. And this box is lightweight and durable, and it is also suitable for woodworking work.

My tool boxes are a disaster scene. But my trail tool bags are pretty well organized.

Do you use any magnetic hooks on that backboard? I have a few of these style (https://www.amazon.com/Powerful-Refrigerator-Magnetic-Neodymium-Upgraded/dp/B07QSJ6Q72/?th=1) stuck to various appliances and they're impressively strong and handy.

So, I have a question for those of you that do some remote rock crawling and take a plethora of tools. Are your "trail tools" duplicate of your garage tools? Or do you pack them up each trip?

Me? I just keep the trail tools packed in bags at the ready for a trip.

Im sure my trail tools and home garage tools are minimal compared to some, but I keep duplIcates. I don’t like digging through bags and tool rolls in the garage because I’m lazy. I would love to see trail tool load outs with pics and lists from people like you and @wibornz who do remote multi-day trips but I know it’s a big ask.

At one time, I was doing a lot of woodworking. I made my own shop organizers, including a powered workbench with integrated router, sanding table, vacuum, etc.

I loved how neat the pegboard kept my wrenches. After I bought the Jeep, I started wrenching more. Now all those wrenches are loosely organized in a drawer, screwdrivers are jumbled together, etc. It's maddening.
