Are you talking a new jimny? They are pushing $30k now and don't meet safety or epa standards. Wait 25 years and you can import one. Of course you'll spend decent TJ money doing that so why?
Because its not something they can really get and easy to point to because its out of reach. If it were something they could actually buy there would be reasons it was bad like the Roxor.

So... who has some good pics of their TJ's? 😁
Here's my TJ a few years after I had it painted Willys Michigan Yellow. This photo was taken in 2021.

There are plenty of reasons they both are. From 55mph top speeds to no cargo space to crap suspension travel. I don't care if you put $10k into the roxor it couldn't keep up off road with a stock JL for the same money and on road it can't keep up with a '60s VW. If you want a CJ buy a CJ instead of a knockoff for more money.

10k into a CJ/YJ and probably a TJ is gonna struggle to keep up with a stock JLR too these people again arent looking for solutions they just want to bitch about progress.

Yes and they are still way cheaper than a new JL. I see several of them around town and on the highways with NV plates, so I don't know how they get around the safety/EPA standards.

Go figure a 25 year old imported suv is cheaper than a brand new Jeep.

Agree 100%. Roxor is far too expensive for what it is.

25+ years old are allowed to be imported without any epa/safety upgrades. Of course a 25 year old jimny is cheaper than a new JL. So is a used YJ and I'd take that over a jimny any day.

Agree 100%. I'd take any of my old CJs back, even my stripped-down M38....but just can't find them in a reasonable condition and price point anymore. That's why I have to stick with my JL for the moment.

LOL...what's illogical about Zandc's statement? Would you really prefer a 25+ year old import over a YJ or CJ? Maybe there's a good reason, but I'm not seeing it.

Want.

Dedicated snow plow?
I use it for that in the winter. Adapted the plow from my old 3/4 ton Chevy that decided to only run on 1 cylinder. Being for a full size, the TJ fits inside the blade path even when it is angled. I only plow my driveway and a couple neighbors'.

I use it for other stuff when it is warm out, but it isn't set up for serious offroading. It is basically stock with a little body lift to fit slightly bigger tires. Use it to cut firewood back in my woods sometimes. It can hold quite a few pieces in the back with the rear seat removed.
