Good Morning Jeepers. I have a 24 JLUR, all stock for the moment. I was just wondering if I can put on and drive with 37s and no lift for the time being. I will be ordering a lift and more parts next month but the lead times are 3-5 weeks. I can get the wheels and tires much sooner. I would like to drive on them and such but not sure if i can do that without the lift.
Sure man, go for it… I’m just stoked you’re not asking about 22s and 37s……

I did this myself also. I bought the 37s, installed them, sold the 33s, then told my wife, "we can't go offroading until we buy a lift" I had a lift ordered that week. Try it out yourself! YMMV

Yes, my Falken Wildpeak AT3W 37x12.5 ran fine. I don't know my backspacing/offset, I have the Icon Rebound (non-pro) rims. Obviously someone cannot just say "yes, 37s will work" without knowing about the rims.
I will be getting the Raceline Stryker wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T 37x12.5/17

Those AEV Pintler wheels I have on my 24JLUR with those Goodyear Boulder MT's are actually off of the JK I used to have so the backspacing/wheel offset is slightly different then if they were for a JL and they are spaced out just a touch more then a JL wheel. I think the JK vs JL wheel offset sits them out about 1/2 inch further which isn't much but nonetheless does does aid in clearance, a little.

I didn't really have mine off road at all until I got the lift installed so I can't say if those 37's at factory height would have rubbed or not.

You mentioned earlier your 24 JLUR has 4:88's when you get the 37's on you'll be thankful you have that gear set. Mine has 4:88's also and couldn't imagine having 37's with a taller gear ratio. My base elevation is right around 2,000ft and out on the freeway mine spends most of its time in 7th gear. Maybe for the flatlanders at sea level they can pull 8th at 70mph but I can't unless the road is very flat with no hills or maybe even a slight downhill grade to it.

Keep in mind these 37's are MUCH heavier tires and they add a significant amount of rotating weight to your vehicle so it not only changes the performance but you'll also notice a difference in how much brake pedal effort it takes to stop too. With the 8sp auto and 4:88's I'm actually pretty impressed with how well the 3.6 V6 accelerates from a stoplight though and off roading it does fine.

You saw the before lift this is the after lift. I like how it looks with the 37's and lift much better. Now I just need to get busy installing the new bumper and winch cause that plastic Barbie HotWheels Jeep bumper that's on it makes me cringe everytime I look at it.

Looks good with the lift. I will be doing a 3.5" Rock Krawler lift. new driveshafts, drag link, tie rod, track bars, big brake kit, bumpers and winch. I want to be prepared for pretty much any terrain I come across. In stock form the gears get the jeep up and moving way down here at sea level, lol.

I ran 37x12.5r17 Patagonias no lift for a year before finally putting on my lift. Coincidentally now that I’m lifted I’m back down to 35’s 🤷‍♂️

Are those pics with the 37s or 35s? Nice looking Jeep. I love the Anvil Gray. I almost went with the Earl Gray but I like Anvil better.

They will fit but you will have to upgrade your spare tire carrier. Also, the 37's put a lot more stress on all your suspension components so don;t wait too long before upgrading.

I would just wait, they will rub. But its your money.
I assume you dont plan on doing any wheeling til you lift it? I'd wait..
