Good Morning Jeepers. I have a 24 JLUR, all stock for the moment. I was just wondering if I can put on and drive with 37s and no lift for the time being. I will be ordering a lift and more parts next month but the lead times are 3-5 weeks. I can get the wheels and tires much sooner. I would like to drive on them and such but not sure if i can do that without the lift.

I don't have a 392. I do have the 44s and 4.88 gears. part of my concerns is stock front bumper rubbing.

I had 37's on my new 24 JLUR when I first got it because I was still waiting for all the parts and pieces to show up for my lift and didn't have any issues with them clearing and there was zero rub anywhere lock to lock. I thought it looked a little funny sitting on 37's with no lift but other then that it was all good. Here's a pic of mine sitting on 37's with no lift.

It looks good. I have been chomping at the bit wanting to get all the parts for the jeep but have to wait for the funds to come in. Did you take it off-road much without the lift and those tires? I will be ordering a bunch of stuff at the same time but tires and wheels will probably be the first tome come in.

On the street you'll be fine, rears might rub a little on the inner fender liner if you hit speed bumps too fast. It will definitely run a lot of you try to flex it out wheeling.

That was part of my concern. Until i get the lift and other parts, I wont be taking it off-road unless i just keep the stock tires on it

Maybe i could split the fenders and see if that helps with tire rub

You could, or just reshape the plastic hump in the rear liner with a heat gun like a lot of guys do. I just cut the entire hump out with a pocket knife on John Bull when the 39s were rubbing it. I think with gutted fenders and high clearance liners you might even be able to wheel on 37s at stock height.

One of the parts I will be ordering is Metalcloak overland fenders. They are supposed to add a little clearance over stock and are much more rigid.

Only problem with metal fenders is when you do hit them they tend to do more damage than plastic ones.

thats true. Im in florida, not much for rock crawling. I like wooded trails and get in to some mud from time to time. We do plan to go out to colorado and hit the BOH trails and maybe the Rubicon Trail at some point. Im not a fan of how the stock fenders look but I know they get the job done..The fenders are more aesthetic for me but do offer some protection.

I did this myself also. I bought the 37s, installed them, sold the 33s, then told my wife, "we can't go offroading until we buy a lift" I had a lift ordered that week. Try it out yourself! YMMV

Yes, my Falken Wildpeak AT3W 37x12.5 ran fine. I don't know my backspacing/offset, I have the Icon Rebound (non-pro) rims. Obviously someone cannot just say "yes, 37s will work" without knowing about the rims.

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time

Why, aren't the other posters saying it doesn't rub?
