I'd worry how the textured white holds up to the white body.... and if the colors don't match perfectly bc of the material it's painted on. I would wonder is the (even sanded) texture will create micro shade and make the white appear more gray.
I considered this however, on a color match top from the factory it seems fine so, if my shop does a good job, I don't think it should be a problem.

You ask for opinions... seems like most like it, personally I don't. Looks too custom if that makes sense. The back framing around the window just doesn't look right to me body colored. Maybe because my brain has been trained to see it black? IDK... I seem to be in the minority anyway!

You could do it easily with a black SOT and white side panels. One of those mods I'd have to see in-person to appreciate it I think.

It will look good if it is done correctly. If you are confident in the paint shopt, I would go for it.

So, I don't really want a full Bright White hard top to replace the black textured hard top becuase I think its Too much white but, not a big fan of the black framing around the rear windows either. In a Land Roveresque Black roof contrasting style, I photo shopped this pic of my Jeep and got a quote from our local paint and body shop for about $750 to do the frames only. Looking for a bit of feedback before doing the irreversible.

What would it look like from the back? Where would the white start/stop?
yes, we need to see a rear quartering shot if we're expected to provide an informed opinion :)

But so far, I like it.
Not sure if I would have recognized the Land Rover connection but now that you mention it, it has a bit of that look of the dear departed Defender.
I might have preferred tan / khaki on the top instead of black. One of my favorite TJ combinations back then was the off-white TJ with tan hardtop, or tan soft-top.

I'm also interested in how durable the aftermarket painted hardtop turns out to be.

Stop at the back corners, they will...as well as the whole back, remain black. Just the immediate framing around the windows will be white.
If this is the case, I'm going to have to vote no...
