Hopefully this is the right forum. I'm waiting on my 2021 JLUR to get here. It's shipped, and in the 2-week delivery window now. Dealer says it's likely to get here around the 15th.
Through a very active online local community here in Austin, found a Jeep shop that seems very reputable. Pinged them about getting a lift + bigger tires + wench setup. Was originally thinking going 35's, but now thinking 37's. With that, it'll mostly be a DD, but I 100% want to get into off-roading, and hitting the trails a few times a month. Forgive me, as I'm new to all this. Here's what they're suggesting:
- Metalcloak 3.5" true dual rate lift w/ rocksport shocks. Sounds like new driveshaft is included here as well.
- Cooper SST Pro 37x12.50R17 (I actually like the SST pro and asked for these...have family in the business there..) The other option would be Nitto RG, but they're on backorder until January.
- Rough Country wheel spacers and tire relocation bracket (I've read lots of hate on RC...but can't imagine these two things really matter as far as brand...and they're likely just trying to save me some $)
- Revolution 5.38 regear package.
- Warn VR EVO winch
With that, from what I've read on metalclock, they seem to have good reviews. No real concern with the tires. The RC stuff, again, I don't think for those specific parts it's a huge deal. The winch seems good. I guess what's got me most on edge is doing the regear and the brand they're recommending. Haven't seen a lot on Revolution as I've searched. It also seems crazy to regear a brand new 60k vehicle, but I understand why it needs to be done if I go with those tires + lift.
Thoughts? Anything I should be concerned with I'm not thinking about?
