2020 JLUR. Bought it used with a (at most) 2" lift and 37's with a heavy offset (no clue on the actual number). It rubs into the fenders front and back on both sides at almost full flex. We enjoy moderate rock climbing and like the extra clearance on 37's so not going smaller.

Still trying to research what lift is on it but I think it might be the Mopar with Fox. Happy with the road feel of this setup. Cheaper options are body lift or small enough spacer to not screw with the driveshafts... Otherwise it'll be new fenders & liners all the way around.

Has anyone done a body lift? Pros & cons?

Also if you know what lift this may be, please chime in.

Looks like Clayton 2.5" springs. I'd try adding bumpstops before anything. It looks like it's only got the factory stops.

I did a body lift on Optimus Lime, a JKU I had on 40s. No issues at all. Gain a bit of clearance with no impact on the ride quality.

If you add one on a JL, make sure to apply heat to the body bolts prior to removing to avoid snapping. The heat will loosen the thread locker and save you a headache.

I personally wouldn’t do a body lift….. if you look at the rear bump stops if there is any, the Mopar lift bump looks like this, minus the puck, it’s just a 2” square tubing…

I did a 1.25 inch body lift.. simple mod.. it helps with clearance.. no idea why people are against it unless you have a 3.5 inch lift kit + body lift and you are running on 31 inch tires.. LOL

I always assumed it was the body bolt risk. People are scared enough of them just shopping for sliders.

Do you mean the body bolts breaking inside?.. if that is the case then yes, it is a terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE design !!!.. it seems like the engineers who design components like that have never ever touched a wrench in their lives..

I actually posted a tip somewhere in the forums on how to remove a body bolt that spins freely

But the concept of a body lift is simple and effective if you ask me.. I am happy with the results..

3” front, 2” rear, and 1.25” body lift here running 39” tires along with gutted inner fender liners. Very happy with my setup.

One thing to watch for for anybody doing it though is I had to make an extension for my power steering reservoir. If I hadn’t have taken it loose I might’ve cracked it while jacking up the body.

Bodylifts used to be a thing back in the YJ,TJ days where wheelbase was so short that suspension lifts quickly took their toll on driveline angles.

You could take measurements and use the thinest coil spacers needed to clear your tires.

Ok. Figured out the lift is a 2” by measuring the springs vs a non lifted JLUR.
It also appears that when it was lifted, there were no bump stop extensions put on. Now to see what she wants done to “her” jeep

That happened to me.. I was pissed because the instructions didn't mention anything about it.. I had to buy a new reservoir and more fluid.. which is crazy expensive!!!.. I actually sent an email to the manufacturer of the kit advising them to update their damned instructions!

Not a fan of body lifts as there's no good reason not to just add an extra 1" to the suspension in a JL or JLU as we have plenty of driveshaft length. The angle doesn't change much between a 2" lift or a 3.5". If you aren't running a shock longer than 29" up front you don't need a new driveshaft even at 3.5". Combine that with the size of the wheel openings and I don't see any benefit in a body lift. We can run 38's an a 3" lift with proper bump stops, why bother lifting part of the jeep but not the frame? Raise cog without any ground clearance gain? I'll pass, but to each their own.

with gutted inner fender liners.

Any tips on removing the rear inner fender liners? I'm keeping my stock fender flares. I take it from this youtube that you need to drill out the plastic rivets on the bottom edge of the fender flare

I currently have JL 2.5 Inch Adventure System - TT+ RK rear uppers and 37x12.5 KM3 on stock wheels. Slight rubbing in the rear at full compression.

On BF, I got beadlocks, Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 38x13.50R17LT & Artec Industries Front Inner Fenders

The Nitto's are more than 1.75" taller than the 35 13/16" KM3's. The Artec's + gutted front should prevent rubbing.

I removed it like in that video. But, once the inner fender liner is out, I used needle nose pliers to go up behind the fender and pinch the white clips that hold it in place so I didn’t break any.
