Eh? Jeep Wranglers use AGM batteries so you're going to be paying for the expensive battery anyway lol.
Very interesting, it is so! Noted. IF they start with the warranty options on the AGM's I will not pay up. The auto parts stores do that for standard batteries.

My plan has been to disable ESS and see how it goes. It's not a feature I "believe" in or want - my driving style influences MPG more than ESS. I also trickle-charge when I know the Jeep will be sitting for a few days.

If I get 3 years out of the aux battery, I'll consider that an average replacement interval.

I have a hunch which is unfounded at present. I think the vehicle's charging system lets the Aux battery SOC fall too low and that prematurely kills it.
This. Disable ESS and you will easily get 3-5 years out of it.

Man, I was really hoping the 4xe had its s together but I’ve heard as many issues with 4xe as ecodiesel. I’ll hold my enthusiasm for the 2025 4xgladE. Best of luck.

Capitalizing the word JEEP to emphasize that you are disappointed with how a PRIVATE DEALERSHIP treated you is kinda funny to me. People always think the dealership is some kind of portal to magical customer service when in reality its run by snakes and high school dropouts managed by a few real business people and two real mechanics.

It sounds like your trash factory 12v battery shit the bed. Put an interstate in there and you’ll be happier with your JEEP.

I put a new interstate in my wifes 1 year old denali. 90k vehicle with a TRASH battery. Get over it and move on.

Another uninformed opinion from someone with zero 4xe experience.

How is that fuel pump recall working out so far? Your EGR system still EGRing?

OP, you’re likely suffering from a common Jeep malady. A replacement of the 12v battery with a quality unit (not oem) has solved many problems similar to your own.

I understand needing more time to figure out the issue, but no rentals available either? Are you serious?
I have spent so much money on rentals when my Jeep is in the shop, it's sickening. My dealer only has 4 loaners, total. I realize there are 6 pages of unread posts(I'll get there) but I will never buy a new Jeep again. After this lease ends, back to an older TJ(if I can find one) as an extra car and my trusty neighborhood mechanic. Jeep dealer service? See you in hell :headbang:

Disclaimers- I love my 4xe, I just HATE when it needs servicing.
