I just picked up my '23 Rubi 4xe on President's Day. It has exactly 23 miles on the odometer. The battery was <1%, so I used the ICE to drive and charge the battery. I haven't used the ICE since. When I got it home from the dealership, I noticed that only 70% oil life was left. According to Jeep Cares, it's normal for the oil life to decrease even if the vehicle sits on the lot (mine was an 11/22 build and I took delivery on 02/20/23). I was told to reset the oil life indicator.

I've driven about 100 miles, all EV, and now the oil indicator shows 99%. Is the indicator tied to miles and not actual ICE hours? This doesn't make sense to me since the ICE isn't even being used.

Replace engine oil every 10k miles or every year - you got hit with time. Mine was at 3% after 6k miles due to time and that was at least 30-40% electric miles with no motor

Thanks. Seems like overkill with that frequent of a change on an engine with very little use. Jeep Cares should give us 3 years of oil changes instead of two. ?
