Make that with a 392 and a Manual, and I'd be in line to place the first order.

Sadly, that line would probably be so small they'd tell all six of us to GTFO and forget the idea.

Reminds me of the old Willy’s pickups. I’d buy one in a heartbeat. My old Scout Terra was built on a production long wheelbase. Had room behind the bench seat for several bags of groceries, or suitcases, or shotgun cases. Top removed very easily. Most practical and fun truck I’ve ever owned. Small, nimble, very off road capable. A new Jeep in that configuration would get me to sell my JL and my 1/2 Ton Ram?. Shot a ton of whistle pigs standing in the bed of that little truck with a sandbag on the roof?

Well there's the whole 8% per year inflation rate, $5 gas, and interest rate hikes thing going on too.
Spike interest rates to 20% like we did back in the 80s. Brought inflation from over 13% down to 4. Having sub 5% interest was only supposed to be a temporary measure to ease a faltering economy, and once it picked up during the past year or so, we never really adjusted enough to keep inflation and spending in check.

Might not help with gas prices, so I propose we push everyone to electric asap so there's more gas for me ;)

If they did, I would order one and I dislike corporate Jeep and their dealer network…

@blnewt i agree with you and i would love to pick one up as a 2nd jeep. the 2 door version would be a perfect size overall for my needs. originally, i looked and test drove a 4 door wrangler. tbh it was nice and all. but i sat down and thought about it. in all honesty i just didnt need all that extra room. so i went with a 2 door wrangler. i've looked at the gladiator and they are nice as well. but again i just dont need that big of a truck. at this point, i'm in no hurry to pick up a 2nd jeep, but always watching to see whats new in the wrangler / gladiator line up. if jeep offers a 2 door truck, i'll jump on the band wagon and order one. i would go with a base model with a 3.6, 8 spd auto, a/c, xm, and hard top. just like my current jl. then i would build it the way i want it. low budget and my style is the way to go.

The plan is to run a fast back spare with half doors to isolate the back seat area and keep it air conditioned. This will allow inside storage and keep the sub mounted in the cabin. The back of the Jeep will be isolated to become a "bed" space where the portion of the flat top the spare is sitting on can either be removed completely or partially. Not sure how any of this is going to work out until the cage gets here. Maybe another month or so for that to show up and I'll cut the rest of the factory stuff out. I'll be using a modified version of the GenRight cage which I pre-ordered last November.

When I was shopping for an F-350 I was told that a SuperCab with an 8' Bed was special order only unless I wanted a base XL in white. At least it's still available to order...

I'd trade my current Gladiator for one. I'm never using the backseat in mine and the overall length makes it more difficult to maneuver in tight spots. I have a JLU and JLR, they get driven more often.

I would love to see a 2 door Gladiator with an extra cab. A little room in the cab would be great for small item hauling, backpacks, etc. ?
Same, it would look much better than the current crew cab gladiator as well.

I miss the j10/20. The vehicle company’s force vehicles on us, granted some are justified. There are plenty of customers that would love a 2dr pu with a small place for storage behind the front seats. I had a Toyota years ago SR5. It was perfect. I shopped for a pu a while back. Nothing available but the big ass monstrosity they are making now. How many times have you observed vehicles with only one person in them. Most of the time. Even construction vehicles. I don’t believe most of the car company’s bs. Life goes on.

Not sure I would buy one but would make a nice little truck and looks much better in my opinion. Maybe a little longer cab for a little storage behind or putting seat back just a little. Like the old Toyota Pickups.

On second thought scratch that idea. LOL

I'd buy that as fast as I could get to the dealer. The only question would be whether to replace my current Jeep or park this alongside.
