Just bought a Sport JLU with 1 option - anti spin diff/axle upgrade. White, tan interior. I will post pics as MOPAR 2" lift is going on with stock Rubi takeoffs and Rubi rock rails. Look, yes, I agree on taking it easy with pricey mods, especially for Wranglers that never see rocks or serious dirt, but I actually off-road and rock crawl from time to time so 33" tires with a 2" lift is perfect and "low" cost.

I am pretty excited as I have had a 2dr Rubi order on file with FCA/FCK since January 26th - I have just given up. Drove the JLU with MT and LOVED it. My TJ and JK had manual locks and windows so this rig was perfect for me. LEss is more in Wrangler world for me.

JLU - the U means "Unlimited" or 4 doors. The MOPAR lift is $1,500 plus labor. Labor rates vary but I negotiated a fair price at purchase. Now, I just need my CB installed.

Man all these wheel/tire combos look great and had me itching to go big....but ended up going 275/65s. Hopefully they don't look too small but had to forgo the planned lift since I found out it will void my dealer's extended lifetime powertrain warranty (which I definitely cannot jeopardize since I'm on track to put 30k miles per year). 275/65 puts it just a smidge taller than stock

How much do those rail lights run? Was any additional wiring needed?

A van and a boring car
My favorite part about the Rubicon is that it comes with bigger tires, the ability to run even bigger ones and you don't have to touch the suspension to do that. So cool and it just looks better. Love the Rubicon!

So i understand for those of you who have already own Wranglers your well aware of the ins and outs of this vehicle. So that when a noob like myself said "hey i want to throw on 40"s on my jeep and ride off into the sunset" it sounds plenty stupid but try to understand that a jeep with big ass tires is what gets most of us noob interested in the vehicle to begin with. Not saying I'm right for it but whether or not someone wants to throw on huge tires to go off-roading or mall crawling it comes down to how they envision their jeep. Just my two cent for those who get annoyed by people like myself.

It looked like you were given solid advice and help to save you money and keep you from making a mistake. What you take from that advice is all on you
