I have a 2022 JLU Sahara 6 cylinder manual. I have an issue where I intermittently have a significant loss of power. It is very noticeable. At interstate speeds, the Jeep will suddenly not be able to maintain 70 mph on a slight incline in 5th gear. It affects the entire power range in all gears. Though it is under warranty, the dealerships are a month out before they can see me and won’t give me a loaner. I have an intermittent check engine light with codes P0522 and P0523. I have changed the crank position sensor but no dice. Not sure where to go from here. Suggestions?

Contact @JeepCares and see what they can do about getting you an appointment and a loner or rental at no cost. Nothing else you can really do if under warranty and you don't want to wait for a dealer appointment.

the P0522 and P0523 is a low/high oil pressure. This would cause limp mode/power loss to protect the motor this could be as simple as a bad sensor, electrical short, low oil, bad oil pump. etc. this should be seen by a dealer ASAP as it could end up with a blown/frozen engine. which would be worst case. @JeepCares should be able to move this forward a little quicker as this could cost Jeep more than just a couple hours labor and a sensor or oil pump. Keep a good eye on your oil Pressure gauge, check your oil daily. etc.

Your filter need’s changed and or you’re low is oil. Hopefully you’re not a guy that goes by the percentage value and never checks their oil level.

Dropped off my Jeep at the dealer. They had it three days only to tell me that they were unable to replicate the issue but they did clear the codes. Within ten minutes of picking up my Jeep, the codes were back and once again in limp mode.

Hopefully you were able to “limp” it straight back to the dealer… ?‍♂

Many vehicles nowadays seems to be equipped with GPS sensitive parts that are programmed not to misbehave/throw an error code within x miles of a dealership or licensed repair facility. It’s like “they know”…?
