So I think I broke the JB dual top myth. I was in JB since 2/8. Today went to KZ! Hallelujah! Ordered 1/11. EST delivery 2/23!

So now we've gone to the JB chat room .....

Hi My name is Dan and Im in JB status ....." HI DAN !"

" It started with a visit to my jeep dealership which lead me to signing some papers and a small deposit . I was OK at first ...you know ...I thought I could handle it . After a week I checked in and they gave me a VIN number ,,,another week goes by and they tell me Im in D status . My life was manageable at the time but I couldnt stop checking on my status !! , I went from once a week to every other day ...then I was told I hit my JB bottom ! . I couldnt sleep , my friends and family ignore me now , I cant focus at work , I was asking people off the street if they heard anything on my JB status . This lead me to drinking and all I could buy was Jim Beam because of the capitol J B on the bottle . ... One day I woke up on the floor still wearing the same clothes from a week ago , I had my Order sheet wrinkled up in my hand and thats when I turned myself over to my Higher Power and Let Go !! ............................................Today I am proud to be in JB status !!! *** One day at a Time ***

I am sure they are filling the sold orders first...and regarding the issue of having parts prior to manufacturing...I think they do have all of the parts required to build the vehicle, it is just the soft top that that is added after production that is holding things up. As someone else mentioned, they just need to slide a box into the vehicle prior to shipping. If the delay was too long though, they should ship tops for sold orders. Take the cost hit for people who made special orders.

If it is the soft top that is holding things up it would be good business practice to ship the vehicles now and have the owner pick the top up at the dealership when they are available.

Shipping the vehicle now would bring the revenue of the sale in sooner and the inventory off their books, along with appeasing the customers who are waiting for their order. Shipping cost to the dealership would be minimal as they already have parts shipments going that way. The only real inconvenience would be for the Owner to swing by and pick it up.

I have not however received my window sticker.
