The dreaded JB freeze

I just heard back from FCA. After initially offering to ship my JLUR sans soft top if I wished, they now say

"For your reference, your vehicle was originally being held due to the availability of the soft top. However, we now expect availability of the soft top and plan to ship the soft top with the vehicle as originally planned." ​

When I asked for an ETA they responded

"Cannot give you a definitive answer but hopefully within the next couple of weeks". ​

Not sure what to make of this, just thought you might want to know.

Yes, my dealer gave me two email addresses with FCA. I am not comfortable passing them on, though.

someone needs to explain to me how i go from the status below, turns into a jeep that was never delivered. I understand now that the truck hasn't left and the jeep is part of the stall with the premium soft top. How do i get through JB, to KZR, given and date, put on a truck and now this. I am at a total loss.

I don’t understand the question. From the status it appears your Jeep is on a truck to the dealer. There will be another event when it is actually delivered to the dealer.

The tracking spreadsheet Jay and JLWF Dealer pull together can provide this information. There are other tracking sources that you can Google but they will cost you more than the $20 that this forum plans to charge.

They will be accepting another 175 this Friday. After that there will be a charge of $20 to track (though there hasn’t been any information that I am aware of regarding how that will work).

I don’t understand the question. From the status it appears your Jeep is on a truck to the dealer. There will be another event when it is actually delivered to the dealer.

The question is less a question and more a statement. Jeep Chat tells me the truck hasn't left Ohio and my jeep hasn't shipped because of the soft top back order. Makes no sense as it went to KZR and was loaded on a truck.
