CO is awesome but since everyone is moving here it's in the midst of transforming into CA. Especially Denver. The changes are staggering. I'll probably last another 10 years, maybe.

With that said, welcome. Like others have mentioned TONS of great trails to wheel.

5.8m to 42m says it all. Yes people are moving there but CO would never sustain that growth! Looking forward to meeting some of you guys. Awesome times like ahead!

Loved CO while I was stationed there for nearly 3 years. I’d live there again for sure. Have fun!

It is not a secret that I am a friend of Bill W. That info has been shared here a couple years back during my inaugural story and discussion following that. Anyway, if there are others in the area, I'd love to have you pm me. Need to start up that connection early.

88 days left in California. Moving to Colorado Springs January 1.
Looking forward to the change!
Renting a house in a community called Cimarron Hills for a year before we find the perfect place, or even build our home. Just got to get out of here and the perfect plan unfolded.
We simply said yes!
Looking forward to some new friends and new jeep country!

Congrats, and welcome to “The Springs” from another west coast expat (Oregon, a division of Kalifornistan). Overall, people are really friendly here, we get over 300 days of sunshine annually, and living on the front range gives you quick access to the Rockies.

We’ve been here since 2011, and my wife and I would rather gargle gasoline and razor blades then go back to the left coast. Get while the gettin’ is good, brother. And get yourself a good short timer’s calendar to properly celebrate the countdown:like:

Welcome.
I moved here in May from Texas. Colorado is terrific.

You will find Coloradans to be the nicest folks that you will ever meet and the beauty of this State cannot be matched,

I moved from Texas, I’m not native Texans so I though Texans are nicer than Coloradans. I miss Texas every year specially during F1 US Grand Prix.

Congrats on the decision to depart what is a beautiful state, but unfortunately just has so many issues going on between persistent political, fiscal, and weather problems. Agree with some of the other commenters, though, that the mass exodus from east and west coasts to Texas, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina, Tennessee, etc, is bringing a lot of the same with it and driving property prices through the roof. Cannot tell you how many new residents have moved into our area over the last few years. Sigh...

That said, just got back home to San Antonio a week ago from a trip to Durango, along with half of Texas (the other half is waiting for ski season. LOL) Haven't been back there in 20+ years, but it was a perfect time to visit with the fall colors coming on and great temps every day. Had a blast hiking and traversing the Corkscrew, Hurricane, and California passes on a perfect day. Enjoy your new home when you get there and maybe we'll see you out on the trails our next trip! :like:
