I disagree I don't think that they would sell anymore jeeps just because of color. As best as I can remember I have never heard anyone say that they bought their jeep because of the color. Also I don't know anyone that wanted a jeep and didn't buy one because they couldn't get the exact color they wanted.
I bought my current '23 4xe because it is Reign. I had been windows shopping for well over 10 years, but never bought until the color inspired me.

I have a '26 Moab on order because Reign was available again.

So I have bought 2 Jeeps because of the color offered.

Goldilocks isn't Inca Gold, it's Amp'd, which is more orange and less gold.

Thanks Gina! I'm glad you could distinguish Goldilocks from the Inca Gold & Amp'd colors and verify what my salesman is thinking. I remember seeing the Amp'd color years ago, but only on a couple of JKs on the road. I've now seen it in a couple of links all cleaned up & shiny and man!, what a great color it is. You said Goldilocks has more orange than gold compared to the Inca Gold and I think you're spot on. That's great for me because I actually wanted a metallic orange paint on my new JL I'm considering, but it's not offered in 2026. Goldilocks is a fantastic compromise and I'll probably end up liking it more than a full orange color.

I was also glad that you, a female, chimed in because when it comes to colors, I much prefer and trust a woman's opinion. Compared to a woman, not all, but most men are colorblind. Sadly, it has nothing to do with the rods & cones in their eyes, but rather the gray matter of their brains which dictates that every move or decision they make has to be 1st checked against the Macho-Manly Code of Performance....(oh brother!, I'm going to pay for that comment  )

I’ve said it before -

Bring back Root Beer Brown Pearl

Is that A&W or Barq’s?
Honestly if they made a 2027 with a 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi in that color I’d buy it (and deal with the argument from the Wife).

Call the color “Root” or “Walnut” or even “Coffee”

If they made a 5.7 JLUR in any color, I'd buy it.

All of my life I have been color deficient. Most of my deficiency is in the green and red spectrum. I learned in a college class 50 years ago that mothers carry the gene that causes color deficiency in males. I say deficiency because males are rarely 100% color blind, but very often deficient. Women are rarely color deficient and this is why women often comment on beautiful a green field is while their husband doesn't notice.

You could just smile and nod about the amazing things your wife notices that you don’t pay attention to. But you‘ve been married too long and she knows when you’re feigning interest. So maybe the color deficient strategy has merit. I’ll try it next time I can’t find something right in front of me in the refrigerator and have to ask her where it is.

I don't think Goldilocks is metallic, but maybe I'm wrong. Dirt Road Cred has a video out on YouTube where they show theirs off. They got the first one. It looks orange to me!

And I think mens' brains are just wired differently when it comes to color and decoration. After all, it is the woman who makes a house a home. But of course there are male outliers like the great Renaissance artists, just like there are female outliers like Joan of Arc.

I love threads that devolve into which color is best.

Sting Grey all the way.
