I almost drowned my JL. The water got up to the hood and then started smoking. I think it’s time to invest in a snorkel. Close call.

Tom, I didn’t see your close call - at least, nothing that came close to requiring a snorkel. I may have missed it. Where in the video is the close call?

Riding through the woods is one of my favorite things in the world, so I watched the entire video. While nicely done, there's nothing I saw that would match the text in the OP's post. What I saw at 4:58 barely reached the top of the tire, and then only for a second. My stock Sport could handle that.

Maybe edit the clickbait thread title to suggest that a nice forested trail video awaits.

At approximately 4:58 mark the front dipped in pretty deep. I was worried the water would go into the air intake.
Tom, with all due respect, that wasn’t deep; the deepest you got was significantly well-below the air intake.

I got a little worried because after going through the water this happened. But I guess the water was sitting on top of the hot engine.
Tom, nothing to worry about regarding the steam. Any water touching the lower side of your engine and/or transmission will throw some steam. That’s normal, sir.

You can briefly traverse water that is deeper than the stock fording depth. Just don’t linger in it more than a few seconds or so.

Your videos aren’t bad. Hopefully you won’t succumb to using clickbait titles and the shocked and horrified faces like so many U-Tooberz. If you want a snorkel get a snorkel.
hopefully he succumbs to putting a hot young woman in skimpy clothing in the videos.
