Terrible Radio Reception

I just swapped my 5 inch to a 7 inch and this issue shown in JRBrannans issue just started up first time I booted the radio. I'll test the Switch to AM method at lunch today. But I noticed that if it does it when I turn the car on, I can turn the car off for 5 minutes or more and come back and it usually works. Unfortunate for me, if it's a software issue, my swapped unit will probably not see any dealer work.

I finally but the bullet and let them take my car for a few days. This is what they said.

Atenna sure soft clip was not seated and connector fell off. Reassembled connector.

AM/FM now works and picks up all the channels I would expect.

Was it done at the Jeep dealer on 41?

I purchased a new to me 2018 Sahara JL and the dealer mentioned they replaced the 8” radio because of reception problems but I’m still having the same problems. Had I know this was an issue I would not have purchased this faulty vehicle. Very upset with Jeep.
