Pardon me, I'm slow and usually need pictures. :) So if you set AutoPark disable to one time use, and it re-enables itself on the 2nd run cycle, how does that allow me to open the door and back up the Jeep in the future? Or are you saying that I'll have to select AutoPark disable in the device each time I need to do this?

If I have to disable it via the device each time, that's not worth it to me. The entire point here is that AutoPark takes away convenience. If I have to do something else that's inconvenient in order to disable AutoPark, it's a moot point.

Forgive me if I misunderstood you. That's why I'm asking to be sure. :) Thanks.
Thats the current set up we made as a work around to make sure it would work for everyone, we are close to a permanent disable solution.

Went with the Superchips Flashcal because the TazerJL was $100 more for options I wouldn't use. Pleased with the Flashcal, did exactly what I expected it to do (flash tire size and make fog lights my DRLs).

Interested to see what the 2.0 update will bring for the Flashcal.

So if I don’t have the bigger touch screen can I not use some of the options on the taser? I plan on upgrading to the bigger one if it’s possible, can you at least make the drls come on when the engine is running?

Did the same. Looks much better with the fogs as the DRL for sure!

I've read some forum members with the 7" say it works fine. The guy who developed the Tazer only has the 8.4, so he may have put that in the manual just to be sure. I don't know for sure, though, so someone with the 7" can chime in and confirm.

State Inspections and your programmer .

To my fellow programmer owner's... either Flashcal or TazerJL...

Remember, when you go for your State vehicle inspection, you must remove your programmer and the companion SWG bypass module, IF your state requires the inspection station Inspector to plug his computer into your OBDll port and access your JL's onboard computer's.

New York is one such state. I believe Massachusetts is another.. there are many other states also.
Not really sure thats true. I left my Tazer's bypass module hooked up when I went in to get an oil change. When I picked it up they told me that they had also done the recall for the cruise control issue and flashed to correct it. So apparently they can still do what they need to do with the SGM bypass installed...

I'd love to see more stories like this so that I can muster up the guts to try it if I have to go to the dealer again. I unplugged mine when they replaced the spring pad on my Mopar lift with the new updated one.

Well, this is contrary to what has been understood... Hmm....

So, you see everyone else let's say Jay walking and you take it that Jay walking is a smart, safe thing to do... Naaah, not me.

Takes what, 3 min to unmarry and remove TazerJL and companion module. Why would you be foolish enough to not do...

Well, you got an easy one. Mine is a pain in the ass, even with the knee panel off. Mine don't like to come out of the factory plugs. It takes a good bit more than 3 minutes. I honestly think my dealer wouldn't care. I'm not planning on testing them, but we've got a great relationship.

Btw, I Jay walk all the time, and have done it for about 45 years, with no issue and no close calls.

@DanW

I have a more then very good relationship with GM and Service Manager at my selling dealership.... Even then, I would not put them in the position of covering for me in regard to FCA. When your JL hooks up to Wytech2, it communicates with FCA.....

That connection is what keeps me from doing it. Still, I've heard of others that did it and had no issue. I've yet to hear from one that did it and got a hassle. Time will tell...

What are you afraid of? It can't hurt the Tazer. Or you worried about warranty? Not worried about that. My SA actually asked which programmer I had because they have people asking for them and he didnt know there was one for the JL. Also, I don't worry about warranty issues. I bring my SA a gift every once in a while. It pays in the long run. They will take care of you, if you take care of them. I've had bent tie rods fixed under warranty. Broken axle shafts on my JK, not a penny out of my pocket. Find out what their favorite drink is and bring them a bottle of it every now and then...never had a single issue getting ANYTHING replaced under warranty. Hell, I had my JL windshield replaced under warranty 3 weeks after I got it because a rock cracked it.
