they are BOTH live and not live. The key activates the non live and the live function is activated at the column. In other words, I can use my smart key from my kitchen window to activate the light show OR I can use the buttons on the steering wheel to activate the live light shows.Light shows are "Live Functions" (not "settings"), so the Tazer must be plugged in for them to work.
I'm not a Light Show user, but per the instructions there is a "setting" related to light shows (i.e. engine off activation), but the light shows themselves are "Live Functions" either "Menu" or "Non-Menu" (fob) - thus, the behavior described earlier in the thread when the Tazer is unplugged.they are BOTH live and not live. There is a key activated light show as well as the live function. You want me to make a video?I'm not a Light Show user, but per the instructions there is a "setting" related to light shows (i.e. engine off activation), but the light shows themselves are "Live Functions" either "Menu" or "Non-Menu" (fob) - thus, the behavior described earlier in the thread when the Tazer is unplugged.

Yah, AND there is a 3 plus one button KEY ACTIVATION OF A LIGHT SHOW. You don't know this? unlock, unlock, lock, unlock, activates the light show. Lock deactivates it.
Does it matter? Most of us aren't concerned about performing light shows.Yah, AND there is a 3 plus one button KEY ACTIVATION OF A LIGHT SHOW. You don't know this?
I guess now I want to see a video of the "not live" (Tazer unplugged) Light Show.Yah, AND there is a 3 plus one button KEY ACTIVATION OF A LIGHT SHOW. You don't know this? unlock, unlock, lock, unlock, activates the light show. Lock deactivates it.

What matters are the instructions. I don't give a flying fuck about the light shows. "I found that the settings don't stick when you take the tazer out. Case in point: I took the tazer out to program my keys with an xtool. The key did not engage any of the light show sequences. Put the tazer back in and the programmed light show did work."Does it matter? Most of us aren't concerned about performing light shows.
I said it can't be done with the tazer unplugged. Did I type it wrong?I guess now I want to see a video of the "not live" (Tazer unplugged) Light Show.
Yes, you typed it wrong:I said it can't be done with the tazer unplugged. Did I type it wrong?
I believe you confused "Non-Menu" with "Live".they are BOTH live and not live. The key activates the non live and the live function is activated at the column. Oh yes, there are settings that stick when the tazer is removed. I agree but not the key fob setting. That is the point I am so foolishly trying to make.Yes, you typed it wrong:
In Tazer terms "Live" is a function that works only with the Tazer plugged in, whereas "Settings" stick when the Tazer is removed (as I originally stated).
Those of us that really don't give a flying fuck about light shows would have no clue whether they worked or not. Live or not live. What matters are the instructions. I don't give a flying fuck about the light shows.

Now you know. FWIW.
