Just curious how your tan tops have been holding up, and if you have any new pictures to share?
I have a 2-door Sting Gray Rubicon JL, and spring has me thinking about soft tops... While black is the obvious and safe choice, I can’t help but be tempted by the less common tan. However I can’t find many pictures (none so far on a Sting Gray), and I’m also a little worried about how quickly it will get dirty or show marks. Any feedback or new pictures would be most welcome!
Hope you’re all enjoying mud season in your JLs. :like:
No new pictures from me yet. The hard top went back on for the winter and I'm still a few weeks away from putting the tan soft top back on. I also park in the garage most nights, so my soft top doesn't exactly get much abuse under trees and things. I do think the tan on the Sting Gray will look great, but I am a bit biased. I better get my replacement soft top door surrounds ordered since I smashed the originals against a tree on a trail ride, so no soft top until those come in. Pricey buggers.

Thank you, and sorry to hear about this tree incident!

I am scared to ask. How much were the replacements?
My local dealer quoted me the following: #18 - $129.15 and #23 - $308.70

I haven't been able to look up any part numbers to get other quotes on these, and haven't found any useful part numbers on the parts themselves that turned up anything through Google searches. I bet someone on here is far better at looking up part numbers for parts like these.

I love my tan top with white. I'm a fan of the contrast. And it's holding up perfectly fine so far. I am only going on 3 months in Florida weather (no garage). I did the canvas instead of the vinyl, maybe that is why it isn't baggy?

Thank you for sharing these pictures and impressions!:rock::rock:

I love the tan in your pictures. I saw others that made it look beige, but this is a warmer, slightly darker color which IMO looks even better - and also makes me less worried about maintenance.

If I pull the trigger, I’ll go for the Premium Soft too, so I’m glad to hear the twill fabric is not baggy.

Thanks again, Jessica! :like:

Very long time lurker but first time poster,

Finally have the cash saved to buy a JL. My first jeep was an 89. Anyway I searched the forum and didn't see any pictures or post about the tan soft top... specifically on a 2 door. I see its available on the jeep builder but, no examples except a couple mock ups using photoshop.
The tan top looks great
