I’m interested in this also as a summer option to the hardtop in winter. The Ultra is the only Bestop that folds all the way back, but $2400 plus tax is a lot of dosh.
How much of a PITA is it to switch back and forth with a hardtop and Bestop. I used to do that with one of my old TJ’s, but being a 2-door the hard top was easier to wrestle around.

Once you put the soft top on, the hardtop will hang in your garage untill its absolutely needed for a specific reason like vacations needing roof rack or going to big city's and worried about security. Mine is the factory twill soft top that is made by bestop, so any twill version of Bestop I would recommend. As for speed of swap depends on type of lift, door surrounds are fast and easy and I have a homemade version of https://www.quadratec.com/p/lange-originals/hoist-top-simple-jeep-wrangler-jl
So one person 30 min. Depending on your size might need help picking up softop. As for noise already have my radio up cant hear thunder lol.

I have a bestop supertop ultra, I love it so much I sold my hard top. Never going back.

I had a factory soft-top on my 2020 2-door Sport that I leased for 30 months. I specifically leased it to determine 2 things: Could I live with the 2-door as my primary car? And could I live with the soft-top on that primary car?
Took equity out of that lease end (due to crazy used car prices post-pandemic) and put it into a used 2021 JLU Sport that I have now. It came with the 3 piece hard-top and 4 doors (duh!), both of which I like. Pulling the freedom panels out is so much easier than putting the top all the way down, but obviously it’s not as open.
Security is a problem with a soft top, but I do live in Vermont, so it’s pretty safe here compared to most other places. I never even lock my cars here, but with a soft top it would be pointless. The biggest advantages of the hard top are snow bearing in the winters, and quietness on the highway.
Unfortunately my garage is too low to hang the hard top up for the summer. So, I’d probably have to put it up on saw horses outside and cover it, and then be looking at it in the yard all summer. No problems with HOAs or neighbors as we are pretty rural here, and I can do what I want on my own land. But my wife probably wouldn’t be real keen on it sitting around outside 1/2 the year.
