Soft tops and hurricanes

Has anyone been through a hurricane with a soft top and how did it fare? Hurricane season starts soon and my job requires me to stay at work in the event of a hurricane and my Jeep will be parked out in the open. I want to at least get a cover to try and provide a little protection. Any suggestions on a good cover?

I went through 2 hurricanes in NC. One the eye went directly over and my soft top took damage from a flying lattice fence. It was on my TJ and insurance covered the damage, which was a bent rear bow. No water got in.

What I was half expecting to read: My Rubicon soft top was solid as a rock and even changed the path of the hurricane, but all the nearby Sahara soft tops blew off and smashed into the mall food court windows.
