In the menus I can make the left temp up/down button control both...but if someone presses the right hand one, it cancels sync. and you have to go back into the menus to find it...which you can't do when driving (safely) so it's really annoying. Is there a way to make it stick to sync. mode ?

huh, "Sync" is on the HVAC screen and that can be accessed while driving. Maybe you don't have HVAC controls on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.

Picture from the internet, not a Jeep, but same screen:

I think that is what he is saying, it only exists there. I'm normally in the Carplay screen so for me to navigate while driving to sync the temps is a few steps. Driving in Vegas on the 15, sometimes it has to wait. People here drive like poo poo. Elsewhere, no biggie.

I very much appreciate however that there is a screen off button. My wife comes from an Airforce family so the controls have to be off or completely dim so she can see better in the night. The button makes my wife very happy, which in turn, benefits me. HA! (of course in Vegas, you don't even need headlights to see at night)

That's not the OP's issue/question.

What was asked about is if there is a way to prevent the passenger temp control from overriding the sync.

Agree, but part of his question seemed to say "you can't sync while driving". But reading it back, he may mean using anything on the screen while driving is dangerous, vs "not allowed".

:)

No. There is no workaround for this.
Oh. Is it because it's linked to UConnect?

Also, I have a fully functional workaround for this in my Jeep. When my spouse used her side the first few times, I explained that the temp controls on my side work faster when they're used instead of passenger side. ;)

(I'm kidding, I just asked her to use my side and explained why, lol)

No. It's just the way the climate controls work. Passenger side temp change overrides the sync.

Hmm, I wonder if Tazer could do something like it does with the back cam "button" to keep it displayed? The software"taps" the sync button every x amount of time or something......never say never, it might be possible.
