I know, when I got home from work last night, the house was 67 degrees, I had to turn on the heat to take the chill out. :)
Haha dang 67 is boarder line hot in the house to me! However my wife likes it about 80 or so it seems.

This is nuts. I was grumbling to my wife this morning when I got up because it’s 42 in Houston and the bathroom tile is cold. This puts it into perspective.

Keep warm and stay safe guys!

A few memories from younger days...
...
But the one I found funniest in a demented sort of way... Minneapolis airport. Standing near the baggage claim and watching people who have obviously never seen cold weather walking towards the door in their light jackets and even occasionally shorts. The look on their faces when they race back inside... yep, that's what 20 below feels like. Kinda stings, doesn't it? ;-)
I grew up in NW MN and was on the swim team (Nov-Mar). We had an exchange student from southern Spain on the team, and he was always freezing. Most of the swimmers wore hats/gloves everywhere (since hair was wet), but one night the temp was -25 and most of the swimmers also brought insulated pants. He looked and asked how everyone knew to do that, and our team captain clapped him on the back and said "come with me." They went outside and he told him to inhale through his nose and said. "you feel that? That prickling of your frozen nostril hairs sticking into the other side of your nostril. If you inhale deeply enough, the whole nostril freezes to the other side. That there is snot freezing cold. When that happens, you break out the woolies!"

Cold sucks. Not sure why I still live in the the upper midwest, but I really enjoy the summers.

About 30 minutes south of the city.

Got off work this morning, unfortunately had no choice. I'm a firefighter/paramedic and last night was brutal. Thankfully no fires though.
Hey JC2692 I want to thank you for your service, being a Firefighter/Paramedic takes a special person.
Thumbs up to you :like::like:

did anyone check the oil temp at startup (I use the off road pages app), most synthetics brands state it will flow down to minus 30-40 degrees? My oil was the same temperature as the weather 23 degrees at startup.

Thanks man! They pay me to do it though, so no thanks needed. Aside from being a full time model, I couldn't see myself doing anything else.

Unfortunately nobody else can see me being a full time model, so this is what I've got.

Anybody using the block heater, or is it starting in those temperatures on its own?

I wish I took a picture at 6AM before the sun was up. Probably a few degrees colder.

I do not have the block heater.
I’m coming off of a diesel, so I’d gotten used to having it. When I ordered, it was part of the cold weather package, but they changed the specs so I didn’t get it. If it’s starting in those temps without it, I’ll never need it anyway.
