Out of curiousity, I checked the Kelly Blue Book value on my three year old Ecodiesel. I've found KBB to be very accurate at pinpointing valuation for the last two Wranglers that I privately sold. I paid 5% under invoice for my nicely-equipped model: $53,750. KBB pegs the resale value at $49,550.

That's 92% after 37 months. Given the model's rarity, I suspect that this trend of exceptional value will continue.

I have no intention of selling anytime soon.

Keeping mine for the long haul too, I’m glad it’s retaining the value but ultimately it doesn’t matter. This is a vehicle I want to keep for my kids

Yeah I was offered 48k on trade for a Colorado 2023 Trailboss, but then they added 4995 admin adjustment. Not that I was betraying the tribe here just looking around. 48k is not enough or reality is 43k after getting the 5k Admin adjustment bend over the desk treatment.

I was watching videos of the new Land Cruiser, I think the reason so cheap is that it is all plastic. So yeah that shit is cheap.

Twenty years from now our diesels will be admired on trails and in places like Moab, and the price to buy one will be higher than the market for "comparable" Jeeps. Sell if you simply do not need a Jeep. Hold if you do.

I was thinking about trading my diesel in on a used 392 at my local dealer. I understand the difference between trade in vs private sell, KBB showed $43k, he offered me $34k.... Clown.

I work in the Auto Industry and at a previous job, bought used vehicles for a well known, nationwide dealership
KBB is one of the biggest hoax’s. The next vehicle KBB buys, will be the first. KBB does NOT participate in the market, they simply observe from the outside. Getting vehicle values from KBB is similar to asking a front office receptionist for medical advice. Sure, they know the terminology and maybe even have basic medical knowledge, but never would I take medical advice from them. Instead, get a real offer from Carvana, Carmax, Vroom, Autonation, or any dealership
something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, KBB isn’t willing to BUY anything. And before you say, “but, wait!” They provide offers. I hate to break it to you, those ”offers” are redirected to a participating dealership who purchases the vehicle. Believe me, if they feel the vehicle value is overpriced, it will be reflected in the purchase price of the new vehicle or in their financing. Side note, I LOVE my JLURD
don’t ever see myself selling, love this ride!

I sold my 2017 Ridgeline to a Ford dealer through the KBB instant offer program without buying anything from the dealer. They looked over the vehicle and cut me a check.
