Mine just dropped out last Saturday. My jeep has under 14k miles but really I've only manipulated the visor from its clipped in position to the drivers side window a few times, really. I work nights.

I just leftthe dealership. I showed them my visor and they said we have to order the parts. They said we will call you when they know. This is ridiculous, Jeep can't even fix my steering issue with the new TSB. All the dealer can say about the TSB (Steering gear box) is maybe we will have the part my March/April, WTH estimate is that?? I almost lost it last night coming home on the highway at 65 mph. Steering is dangerous. Im disgusted 3rd jeep wrangler and I am ready to pack it in they can't even get the damn visor right!

My passenger side visor broke at 21k miles. Anyone have a link to or a write up on a diy repair?

thanks, I knew I had seen that thread before but I couldn't find it again. I ended up using the 1/4" clamping ring. its not back in the jeep yet but it feels like a good hold.

My dealer had one in stock with the homelink buttons and replaced when I took it in for routine service. First they told me they had to order the parts and since it was a common issue parts were back ordered and would be a couple of months but when I picked it up they said they found a spare and replaced it. Nice to have a working sun visor after a year.

I just picked mine up from the dealer last week. Took almost 2 months to get the part.

Issue has not been resolved on 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. My jeep had less than 10000 miles on it when the driver side visor broke while driving.....safety issue and I am surprised it has not been recalled and addressed since this is fairly common. Part is warranted so no big deal called the dealership to order part but they need to see it to confirm the issue in order to order the part. So trip is made to dealership to confirm driverside sun visor is broken. Part is ordered but informed it is on backorder. That was two months ago and we are still waiting for the arrival of the part to the dealership with no known arrival date. We are getting conflicting information on the part. Dealership suggestion is to simply disconnect the visor but this doesn't resolve the issue at hand of having a working sun visor with my garage door opener. So we are currently driving with the sun visor tapped to the roof waiting for replacement part. I completely understand now why everyone removes factory parts on Jeep - A warranty on Jeep is worthless.

This same thing happened to first my Passenger Side visor and I thought my wife was just too aggressive on my 2019 Rubicon. A week later, the driver-side one did the same thing with almost zero force.. This is ridiculous.. I paid for the replacement of the Passenger Side, but now I see it is a problem, I refuse to pay for the driver's side

Jeep Cares
Hello Courtney,

Thank you for the response. I came to this forum when my visor 1st broke and again when I started getting frustrated with the dealership. And saw that Jeep Cares seemed to be an option. So I have reached out to Jeep Care and have an open case with you. However, we are no further along than getting conflicting information now between the dealership and Jeep Cares and my case constantly being closed on your end. The part is on a forever on back order with no end in sight. COVID 19 is not an acceptable answer for why this part is not available under warranty as this has been an issue based upon these forum reviews since before COVID 19; it has been an issue since the redesign in 2018. This is a safety issue waiting to happen on Jeeps end, as my driver side sun visor broke while driving and it completely fell within my line of sight and blocking my view of the road while driving and trying to get it back in place at the same time as driving. This part has been on order since the beginning of November with the dealership and a case open with Jeep Care since the middle of December with no foreseeable answer on fixing the problem. I am not hopeful for the warranty on Jeeps end at this point.

Definitely understand that out of pocket costs are not ideal. That said, although we cannot guarantee any certain outcome, we would like to dig in further. Send us a PM at your earliest convenience.
