My Jeep has no power door locks, no power windows, no power mirrors, no auto transmission, no auto climate control, and no auto headlights. It is perfect and I love it! The push button start is the most luxurious feature it has. If anything is "power" or "auto" I don't want it.
Totally agree, but #lockers, so wanted to go with the Rubicon, which meant some unavoidable stuff like power windows.

I agree massively on the windows auto up. This should be a software update. @JeepCares
Hi 303rider,

2018 Jeep JL Rubicon & 2004 Jeep TJ. Previously owned 1993 Cherokee, 1980 CJ5, & M151A2 while in the Military. For the love of Jeeps !
I bought my Wrangler to get away from too much techy stuff, not immerse myself in it. Sometimes less is more.
Totally agree with Jo’s Jeep......if I could have ordered my Rubicon with manual windows mirrors and locks.....I would have done that too. I have two Jeeps; a TJ Sport & my JL Rubicon. I don’t really roll the windows up and down enough that electric windows are an advantage and pushing a door “lock” button.......oh my goodness, what’s the difference....an electric one...or a manual one. And Mirrors.....once they are adjusted...they are not getting moved again. Electric mirrors...what a waste!

jo’s Jeep said it best.....Sometimes less IS More !

Some map lights below the mirror would be nice. It looks like there are knock outs for them that match the 4 push button lights around the dome light. I guess it’s just habit to reach up there at night instead of behind me

Mine:
Power seat
Lane departure warning/steering assist with the Advanced Safety package. I know some people hate it, I like it. Took a lot of the fatigue out of driving my wife’s car in high winds on a long road trip this weekend.
ACC that doesn’t release the brake after being stopped for a few seconds

Things that have already been mentioned that I’ll echo:
Walk away auto locks with the proximity package
Auto up windows
Brake hold- someone mentioned it, we have it on my wife’s CRV and I love it 99% of the time. However it couldn’t really work in conjunction with auto stop start in the way it does now.

These are all minor gripes that I can live with.

Takes more than that. You have to have the sensors that detect if there is something in the window's path (like a hand, arm, neck, etc.) and reverse course (roll back down the window) if so.

Rolling down all the windows by holding down a key on the remote would also be nice. I've had several cars (mainly German) that had this. .
My 09 RAM had this but not on my 17 RAM. I don't understand it.

I wish the key fobs had some ridges on the buttons to help find the lock/unlock button in your pocket without having to look at the buttons. You know, the little Braille-like nubs so you know your thumb in on the unlock instead of the panic button.

I’m sick of looking at the fob every time.
Something that my 2010 Sahara had that was not on my 2015. I am always remote starting then locking the doors... that are already locked.

How much did it save them to change the mold to not include little bumps on one of the buttons?

Just a different motor. No additional sensors. The motor can very quickly detect the sudden increase in current draws needed by the act of crushing your head. The motor then either stops, or reverses.

Does anyone else wonder why some obvious features were not included in the JL? Especially things that are really only software settings.

For example: Why are the windows only auto down? How much more could it have possible cost to make them auto up? I had a 1994 Honda Accord that could do it.
Why can't you open and close all the windows my holding down the lock/unlock button on the FOB? My old 2007 VW could do that.
Would be handy, especially in conjunction with the power sliding top.
Why no power port on the top of the dash? Jeep knows most users will mount stuff up there. I know you don't have the VW Amarok in the states, but it has a high amp port up there. Perfect for mounting your tablet or phone.
Anyone else got any?
Overall I love the JL. Just think that at the price point, it would have been nice to have a few extras.

I have a base Sport with no power windows..locks..etc.
I wish I could be able to "pop the trunk" ( tailgate ) from the inside so kids can load their gear in the back when I pick them up. I dont believe a power source is needed for that..is there?

You can install aftermarket power locks.

I'm thinking you prefer the "utilitarian" aspect of the Sport. Everything manual. Not sure how you’d add a tailgate “pop”. Most cars have either an electronic switch or mechanical cable. The kiddo’s will have to rough it ;)

Wish you could toggle up and down preset radio stations with the toggle behind the steering wheel instead of just down. Drives me crazy. Never had a car that didn't do both. Have no desire to use the toggle to scan up and down. Seriously, can you even buy a car today outside of FCA that only toggles one direction?
