Stop/start question

Starter wear? Not sure that is entirely a valid worry. From the owners manual, pg. 165

ESS vehicles have been upgraded with a​

heavy-duty starter, enhanced battery, and other​

upgraded engine parts, to handle the additional​

engine starts. Vehicles equipped with eTorque​

contain a heavy-duty motor generator and an​

additional hybrid electric battery to store energy​

from vehicle deceleration for use on engine startup​

after a stop as well as providing launch torque​

assist.​

Perhaps our difference in perception is the we have eTorque and perhaps you don't have that option? Its very smooth.

Funny they would claim "enhanced battery" when the tiny aux battery is a common cause of failure in the short term.

And it's not a simple task to change that aux battery.

I know, I know you can "simply" remove the fender to access the battery lol

Max AC is different than just normal AC.

I was thinking "cabin heating or cooling is in progress" since it was blowing cold air at the time.

Ahhh. Well, I don't know what to tell you, mine works when AC is on.
