I stopped at the local dealer and took a picture of the sticker on the drivers side window. It was on 14 of the 15 Wranglers they had on the lot. All appeared to be new.

Interesting. Did they tell you what it was exactly?

I wonder if the "death wobble class action suit" has anything to do with this?

Interesting. I purchased and took delivery of a new "leftover" 2018 2 door JL Sport on Wednesday. This was in Canada for what it's worth.

They might appear to be new, but the sticker clearly refers to a ā€˜used car buyers guideā€. These are used Jeeps that donā€™t yet have the proper ā€œconsumer protectionā€ documentation affixed, it seems.

The Bikini was indeed sold but also every Wrangler on the lot had the stop sale warning on them. He said the folks that bought the Bikini are not very pleased as they have to wait for the part as well.

This dealership knew we are waiting for the Diesel. I doubt very much they would print a bunch of signs and put them in every '18 - '19 Wrangler on the lot and tell people they can't drive them.

Just reporting what we were told and what we saw. No need to shoot the messenger.
Welcome to the "shoot the messenger" JL forum. lol Where helpful people are just trying to share information and defensive people react like you are insulting their mothers or something. And thanks for sharing this information by the way. :)

Would a dealer buy several jeeps that were "bought back" and repaired? Those would have to be sold as used.

I think it's more likely that they just used the stickers that they had.

There is a federal law that says a dealer can't sell a used car until it has a buyers guide attached. It's just that piece of paper you see stuck to the window of used cars that tells you what warranty it comes with, to get is inspected and stuff like that. Kind of the equivalent of a window sticker on a new car.

When a dealership takes in a trade or buys a car from auction, they cannot be sold on the lot until the buyers guide is attached. So some dealers will put those stickers on them to make sure nobody tries to sell them until they comply with the law. Pretty much all of the dealers around me keep those cars off the lot until they're ready to be sold, so you don't see stickers like that very often in the real world.

But if these dealerships had those stickers laying around, I could see them just tossing them on the Jeeps affected instead of getting or printing new stickers.

Stopped by my local dealer last night after hours, and saw no evidence of anything like this on any of the vehicles on their lot.

Well most Jeep dealers claim Star Case #S1819000003 ā€œSteering Feels Loose and Or Wanderā€ doesnā€™t exist, so they are probably unaware of the V41 recall. Some dealerships are aware and are taking the appropriate action(s).

Funny you say that about parts on back order. I just bought a new 2018 Wrangler Sahara and the check engine light has come on twice in 8,000 miles. The first one was a software update and now the second one is the valve body that needs to be replaced. This part is on back order until July 5th! Not sure how a part can be back ordered for that long? Its a fun car to drive but if its always in the shop what good is it? This is the first American car I have purchased in 20 something years and I am starting to regret it. Also there was a terrible rattling sound coming from the front speaker that the dealer said they couldn't hear so as I soon as I brought him outside magically he heard it!

Thank you. The dealer said it was a speaker. Let's see what happens but thanks again for the info.
