I ordered a Sting-Gray JLUR on Friday 3/9. Didn't see a VIN on today's update, but I wasn't holding my breath. I got the dual tops, so I hope that doesn't hold it up. Anyone got an ETA on their Sting-Gray order yet?

I got a VIN from Jeep Chat 5 days after order (ordered 3/3), but still in D status today. Has any Sting Gray gone D1 yet?

I ordered on 3/4, and haven’t heard anything yet. Hopefully soon.

Dealer just called me and updated Sting-Gray hardtop still not available to order, grayed out in their online order system. Bummer. He will order as soon as it is available but no word on when from Jeep. BTW Closed the deal with my dealer 1.5 weeks ago. So looks like I’ll be waiting awhile till I get my JLU.

Was at dealer today. As previously mentioned, Sting gray can be ordered only with the black hardtop top at this time...color-match was "grayed" out on dealer build. No ETA on when that will change. They also mentioned that if you order the dual top group, it will likely delay your order as well... He showed me another customer's order (which included the dual-top group) that was placed in early Feb. It's still in D status.

I will likely place my order with Sting-Gray, w/ body colored fenders and hardtop (black). Will source a soft top at a later date (all Jeep tops are mfg. by Bestop). I'm not really hung up on a color matched top... but the fenders are a must.

sting-gray (2-door, turbo, sport-s, black top) ordered 2/28 - checked with dealer today (3/12) - s/n and vin assigned and and build scheduled (status 'd' i believe)... starting to come together, with after-market power step (amp) rumored not available for JL until 'around july'... also after-market cargo liner (weathertech) rumored 'nothing in development' for JL (but can 'absolutely change in the future').

As a NY Red Sox fan, the gray (away) color with red accents is actually quite appealing. It would match my Pedroia away Jersey. Hmm... a #15 Red Sox Limited Edition, in my choice of Home (Red) or Away (Gray).

Funny, I immediately thought the Rubicon scarlet trim with Sting-Gray was a Buckeye special edition. Could not drive it here in Wolverine & Sparty country without my buds and son giving me a hard time. I’m not a rock crawler anyway so my Sahara will be perfect for my needs and tailgating. Dilly Dilly!

I have a 2017 Warngler S JK that my wife drives and she loves and wants to keep because she loves the Gobi colour and I have an ordered 2018 Rubicon JL (JLJS74 build) unlimited in Sting Gray. I’m not sure how long it will be but I’ll do pictures when I get it and the 37 Nittos
