Power train control module. He said the re-progamming took longer than actually installing....Should be all up to date with the latest and greatest updates....I will find out when I pick it up this weekend....

Got it back. Had them double check the oil level,as it seemed high...at the top of the dip stick marker level...a tech came out and said it would be high because it had been sitting, but it wasn't over filled. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed to have less play in the steering too....never had been bad, but as my first jeep, I noticed it needed more corrections than any other vehicle I had driven....not so on the way home ...hands off and it tracked true....I did have put my spare tire on, as they only do 4 tire rotations. The system kept my phone data and only had to reset the time....so far so good with my local dealer for service....still wouldn't purchase from them, as I've tried that a few times in the past; but the service center was decent.

Dropped it off on the 6th....went out of town...they assured me they would fit it in....called them yesterday...the 20th....the lady said, hang on.....came back on and said the tech was currently looking at it to find out what was causing the noise......WTH....then corrected herself...as I assume she looked at the screen....I mean the starting issue....not sure if they are even looking at it, at this point...sounds like she just says that to everyone that calls in. Whatever...it's still all under warranty, so it is only my time...luckily I haven't needed it....and I'm going out of town again soon...just using the wife's F150...which I'm starting to think I should have purchased too...because it was a toss up between a second F150 and the Jeep.....

I wonder if there was anything ever wrong with your PCM. The only problem that comes to mind that requires a PCM replacement is an internal fault code and that wouldn't lead them to attempt programming first.

They originally tried that on the first go around....there was a fault code, they tried to reprogram and ended up replacing it....he said today they "may" have tested the batteries and they were fine last time....but it wasn't stated if they did....so I guess they just saw the PCM fault and didn't test the batteries...either way....I have new batteries and a new PCM...hoping no other issues arise...I ordered a battery tender to keep everything topped off, as my job keeps it sitting for a week at a time.

you have to remove the battery and bench test it.
