Hello all I recently ran in to an issue where my start/stop button peeled off it’s out of warranty. I just want an OEM replacement but I can’t find any anywhere am I just not looking hard enough? It’s the rubber piece and the ring around it any ideas?

Depending on how smooth it is after peeling, you might be able to put a decal over it. You could probably find one that looks OEM. But the replacement isn't terribly expensive (OK, $75 for a button is kinda high, but I was half-expecting it to be $175+).

I think with shipping/taxes I paid like $100. When I removed the old module and checked out the rubber over the button it actually wraps around and is glued down. I tried to remove it just as a "what if" and it all ripped apart.

My super smart idea of buying a cheap module on ebay, removing just the "stop/start" rubber and putting into my old module would have never worked.

Hey there! I faced a similar issue with my start/stop button, and finding an OEM replacement can be a challenge. You might want to check out my website https://autodetailersofalexandria.com/ for tips on sourcing replacement parts and alternative solutions.

You're going to need to get a new ignition switch module.

There are a bunch on ebay but I ended up buying one new because I didn't want to risk an ebay buy.
When buying a new switch module do you have to reprogram the fob to the new module or can you just replace and go?
