I have that one mostly for looks. It's not as good as the OEM long one, but I don't use AM/FM much anyway.

Got my rubber antenna from autozone. It was actually a few dollars cheaper and gave me instant gratification.

Still looks to be in the way when squeegeeing the bugs off...

Which leads me to the question... Has anyone switched the antenna mount 180°? I know reception would be for naught, but it sure would make the whole operation car wash friendly...

I've tried these, reception was definitely worse. Only good for urban areas. Since the whole point of the Jeep is to get away from urban areas, I ended up giving the original many coats of plasti-dip. Looks much better and remains functional.

I have that same antenna, two of them—one for each JL.

Anyone gone with the Rydonair antenna?
I have one. I couldn’t tell you how it works for regular AM or FM, because I only listen to SiriusXM or stream via Bluetooth or CarPlay.

I have that exact 13" Rydonair and it works great. I've had it since last September. FM reception is great, I don't listen to AM. I am in central Florida so I don't know how challenging it is to get a radio signal, but like I said, it's great. No differences between my Jeep and my wife's car as far as reception. I went with this one and the 13" because I do use the radio and didn't want to lose reception. I'm very happy with mine.

I don't live in the city, but I don't live on a farm either. I've driven across Florida where there's nothing for a while and I notice no difference from stock. I'm not saying there isn't, but I can't tell where I've been.
