Speaker issue?

I know this is gonna sound crazy but when I told my dealer about this a while back he actually found most of the problem from the driver side cover that covers the door strap and wire harness that little plastic cover he put a couple pieces of foam on the backside and fixed most of my problem

Would be awesome if you snapped a pic of the location of foamage.

For now I'll try riding without it and see if noise goes away

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and joined just now after finding this thread and realizing there are so many other owners with the same issue I am having.
I picked up an 18 JLU with the Alpine system about a week ago. Like many of you, I am also suffering from the rattling/distortion sound when listening to Howard Stern and most music. I have an appt to have the issue looked at by a local dealer this Thursday. @JeepCares will you please assist me with this?

I removed that same panel the other day and my sound improved significantly. The hum is almost non-existent. I'm canceling my appointment with the dealership and will look for a way to remove the vibration from the panel and put back in place.

Also having this issue @JeepCares - very annoying. Trying to find the time to take it to the dealer, but do not want to leave it for 4 days like a previous poster stated. Hoping there is a recall and quick fix.

I had my Jeep in twice for this....4 days the first time and 6 days and counting this time. I told them about this forum...described the potential fixes....showed pics.....still they can't figure it out. This kind of experience is really discouraging and takes the excitement out of my Jeep owning experience. @JeepCares supposedly even created a case number and is following it BUT they haven't contacted me either. I just want my Jeep back.....

@hfc0105 It didn’t. After having the Jeep for the day they called to tell me they couldn’t figure it out. Keep in mind I printed this discussion and gave it to them. They then said I’d need to schedule another appointment to have the dash partially dismantled by a more senior technician. @JeepCares please help.
