Dealership fixed mine with a dab of epoxy in the gateway module. They had even ordered and replaced my original gateway module but it continued....so i guess they just glued it together to stop the vibration.

The dealer had my jeep in for over two weeks trying to find this issue. They located the vibration to the gateway module underneath the steering column area near that lower speaker. I’ve attached a photo below. They fixed it by putting a couple dollops of epoxy in it.

I was told to not get anything larger than a 33" tire on a stock Sahara. I want 35" tires and a 2-2.5" lift but was told that I would need to re-gear my jeep. Input please.

My passenger side speaker in the overhead speaker bar was vibrating also... I think the dealership shimmed it. That's what they said. It's not vibrating any longer.

I sure hope so.....

SO after 16 days in the shop trying to locate this issue....even though I showed them the pics from this thread the FIRST time I took it in....they located the vibration issue to be a "gateway module" behind the lower speaker under the steering column area. The official dealership fix was just...

I had my Jeep in twice for this....4 days the first time and 6 days and counting this time. I told them about this forum...described the potential fixes....showed pics.....still they can't figure it out. This kind of experience is really discouraging and takes the excitement out of my Jeep...

I have to take my Jeep BACK in next week for them to try to fix this @JeepCares. Is there anything you can do to help them so they don’t have my Jeep for 4days or more

YepThis exactly. Driving across alligator alley, temp set at 68 (not auto) and periodically the a/c would kick out and start blowing hot for like 20 sec or so.

Yes...I keep pressing on parts of the steering column to see if I can get the vibration to stop. I notice it most with my morning talk show voices and not so much with music but it’s very annoying. I’m taking her in next week.

I’m having this same issue mainly when listening to my morning talk shows in the morning traffic. Did you figure out what the issue is? I’ve got a couple other issues with my new JL so I’m going to mention the peanuts teacher in my dashboard/steering column to the service people.
