Hopefully this is in the right area for this topic.

I have a 2020 rubicon with the upgraded sounded system.
I'm not a fan of it. The sound is more than decent, but volume is too low, and not much treble.

I came across these items and wondering what amps and dsp are needed to power these.

I'm not great with electronics, but can at least wire properly with solder and shrink tubes.
Most of it, I'll probably pay someone to install.

I plan on leaving roll cage speakers stock, for the time being.

Just dash corner (pillar), knee panel, and factory subwoofer speakers will be replaced.

The speakers I've chosen, are likely to fit. I just don't know what amps/dsp are needed to make this sound very clean, rich, and also louder than stock.

Terra Accoustic (made for jeep JL). Is a component, mid and tweeter.
Audiofrog gb60 is a woofer.
And JL shallow mount subwoofer.

Can 1 amp do all of it? Or need separate amps?
Is DSP needed?

I plan to keep stock 8.4 headunit.

The Terra Acoustics are fantastic They look top notch installed too and easy to drop in, the packaging is nice and very well made. A huge difference in mids and highs. Acoustic Stuff was added to the sound bar behind the speakers which helped round out the missing mid range.

I had them on previous jeep, while sounding nice, they didn't get loud enough. Wondering if better amp would help, or if they would just get blown out/distorted.

Knee speakers are a hard pass for me. After blowing the dash apart, it was hardly worth it in terms of sound performance. I’m just doing the kicker replacements in the dash and soundbar and I’ll build a sub box at a later time for my 8s.

Four of those really brings the highs out

I don't like the rollcage speakers though. They kinda ruin the sound stage for me. I might even disconnect them altogether.

That’s where more than half of your sound comes from. You could unplug the knee speakers and almost not even notice it. The soundbar carries most of the sound throughout the vehicle. Aftermarket dash speakers will brighten up the sound a ton.

They sound pretty loud in my 2Door, they've made revisions to the speakers as well. These are considerably louder than the Alpines. Their break-in period was followed as well and they sound better after the break in period.

My 22 Sahara with the alpine system sounds awesome I don’t know why some complain that’s I no loud or it’s not enough … the amp is 550 watts the sub is incredible the overheads are very nice. The knee adds a nice blend. Thr only upgrade I myself will be doing is the uppward/top tweets maybe the Terra or MB Quart - also I’ve insulated many interior areas with kill mat and like materials our Jeep don’t have much or at all. Around crucial areas. Like the cargo space. Door pillars. Floor. Dash. Something to consider first before you replace the alpine sound system. It makes a nice difference Focused the sound and vibration “on my 22 Sahara “

I think everyone has different ears for music.
I was always into loud but clear (quality) sound, having been into home stereos for a while.

The upgraded alpine in the jeep, while nice for most, is wimpy at best for me.

The closest I've heard from car audio that matched high end home stereos, was Audiofrog. But they are expensive, sometimes need custom enclosures, needs a quality DSP, and has to be tuned for your jeeps internal space.. wish I had the money for that. Been quoted over $10,000 for a 3 way component system with a 10" subwoofer, parts install and tune.

Today, I noticed that the collision safety camera thing where my rear view mirror is, rattles at high volume. My 2021 didn't do that, same trim and everything. Wonder if there's a way to pull it off, add some foam/sound deadner into it so it stops rattling. The rattling of that makes any sound upgrade pretty much useless.

I disconnected the rollcage speakers before, and I preferred the direct sound. Had a 3 way component system, but wasn't cheap and don't have that kind of budget anymore.
Just wish the Terra Accoustics offered a set that can handle a little more watts/power.

Yes. I understand that as well It comes down to the insulation of all components as well. Sound absorbing traps. As far from camera. Which camera are you referring to ?

It's right in front of my rear view mirror. Rattles when music is slightly loud. Rattle goes away if I press it. Didn't happen in my 2021.
Guess I'll have to Google how to remove it so I can add something to prevent it from rattling, its so annoying.

If you can pry the casing apart. Use a bit of silicone or some sound insulation. Foam. Sound deadening rubber like killmat - a small piece and close it back up. It will absorb the rattle if you do it correctly

That's the plan! Got a box of sound deadening material lying around, knew it would be handy again!
Spent 2 hours putting on morimoto fog lights today, so done tinkering for a few days.
Fenderchop
Dead pedal
Suspension/wheels/tires goes on top of priority list at the moment.
