I have 3 Stellantis vehicles that have really been trouble free. My mother is a retired GM employee so I had options to buy discounted GM vehicles but I went with a Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge. Everyone has an option.

I do...and I can't see how anyone here can't. Stellantis is a garbage company that bought a great name and really cool products and are now treating them as a money fountain. They don't care at all. Once they have driven the brand into the ground and the money stops flowing they'll sell it off and move on.

And there are "suckers" here...those who believe the hype and really think they've got a top notch product at a great value. There are many of us who knew exactly what we were getting into with a JL...but even more who are clueless.
I knew my $53K Jeep was really a $30K Jeep. I love it more than any Jeep I've had and just hope it will last a decade.

My wife's still not buying a Jeep or Stellantis anything. I gotta draw the line somewhere. I can only fix so much stuff.

Everyone has options and everyone had access to Jeep forums prior to their purchase if they wanted to know what potential issues came with their Jeep. It’s not like anyone keeps their problems and whining a secret around here.

Ok? Do you need trophy for leaving? Is that what people that post these are looking for? These kinds of posts are just attention seeking behavior and really arent necessary. Its almost as bad as having a 12 page thread about leaving and hating Jeep only to just come crawling back 4 months later.
What is a vehicle forum for if not for discussing the vehicle it was created for? For the JL, a large part of "the experience" is the quality and reliability issues, and the dealer experience. So that gets discussed a lot here.

But you are right, these posts aren't necessary...this entire forum isn't necessary.

I was just offered $30K with highest at $35K and my Jeep is only 11 months old. The market in some areas has tanked. $18K depreciation in 11 months is extreme, but I also put on 25K miles in 11 months which is also extreme so I won't be letting it go. I was just curious where the market was. I hope my Jeep doesn't find out I was checking prices.

These forums also amplify the negative issues. Very few people come on this forum and say "My JL is 4 years old and doesn't have a single spot of corrosion. Yay Stellantis!" or "My JL has 80,000 miles and the valve train doesn't make a loud ticking noise and my camshaft looks brand new!"

I have never owned a car without issues, well one didnt have issue ('08 Nissan Murano) but I traded it for a F150 in about 2 years. The 150 had some but not a whole lot of issues.

Next was a Cadillac escalade that spent more time in the dealer service department than my garage.

currently own:
'19 RAM - no issues till this year when there was a weird noise from the steering column. They changed the coil spring or whatever under extended warranty.

'21 4Xe - leaking freedom panel

If it has moving parts, it will have issues and that includes human beings made by the big dude.

What a dealer will offer you vs what you can sell it for are different. Always will be.

I think the "terrible resale value" is limited to the JL's sold since the price increases. Automakers can set their MSRPs wherever they want, but the market determines the value of the vehicle post-sale. This has always been a great way to detect over-priced vehicles...and the JL today is certainly one.

Those of us who bought before the increases are seeing the classic Wrangler resale values.

I mean do we want to go full nihilist and say none of it matters and is all unnecessary?

I agree. I spent $53K on a High Tide. It's been trouble free for the most part except the 12v in dash hasn't worked since month 1. Other than that just the normal creaks and pops that the Wrangler has off the lot.
