Never had any issues running a soft top on my YJ. That being said I went dual top group with my 4xe so Iā€™d have rear wiper and defroster.

When I was younger, my YJ and TJ were soft top only. My JK and JL I ordered with the hardtop for the main reason that rear access for me is essential for coaching baseball. The rear glass on a hardtop is very convenient for me when opening and closing. I did purchase a Bestop soft top that goes on after our last spring game!

Youā€™ll end up regretting whichever one you donā€™t have.
Thatā€™s why I did, to me, the best of both worlds, Sky One Touch top. Allowed me to replace my convertible and SUV with one all purpose vehicle, and get more utility in the bargain.

No wrong choice when it comes to tops. Hard top was better for me, but I can see how soft top would be good for others.

Don't see many up here, some military personnel move up with them but never for sale new.

Does the super cold damage them at all? I know the older soft top plastic windows could be brittle but not sure about new ones.
