Thank God I saw your update, this has been driving me nuts when in sunrider position.

Found two rail screws on the driver and passenger side that look to be adjustable. Thinking that making the rail longer may load the spring more to keep it from rattling when the top is closed, but a little afraid to mess with them. Has anyone tried this? Have internet searched quite a bit and have not found any info on what these screws on the soft top rails adjust, but they do look like the adjust the length of the rails.

Gonna go out on a limb, @Bestop any recommendations from your tech team?

Same. Honestly I still am to a point and may very well do so soon. The squeak is fixed but now Im battling a whistle when there's a cross wind when Im doing 70+mph.
the wd40 lasted 2days and its back, I loosened the cover and used a heavy silicone type grease and that lasted 3 days. I have to find something better.

Can you post a picture of these rail screws?

sorry to hear that. Hopefully something stronger can keep it quiet.

Those screws are in slots, so adjustable, but not sure on what they adjust, and a little afraid of loosening them to find out!

The product I used on the spring was "Super Lube 51004 Synthetic Oil with PTFE".

I've used this in the past for rebuilding old vinyl turntables. It's a thick grease made to last on moving parts. No issues over a month later. Wd40 wouldn't likely last very long. I didn't remove any covers, just dropped it down the hole over the spring.

Please reach out to them! Their number is 800-845-3567 and are in the office between 8am-5pm Mountain Monday through Friday. This doesn't sound normal and I'd love for you to work with them on a solution.

Thanks!

THANK YOU! I’ve been chasing down a chirp that would happen over every little bump and crack. It never dawned on me it was coming from the soft top. Oiled the spring in each side and it’s gone. No longer going insane!

Just adding in to say my 2021 Jeep was doing the same thing lately, and that loud ass chirp was driving me crazy. A little experimental lithium grease dropped it down to just an occasional chirp. Now I just need to get a new can (the one I used was really old and a little watery) and really hose it down in there. Thanks to everyone for group researching this issue!
