Gonna go out on a limb, @Bestop any recommendations from your tech team?Found two rail screws on the driver and passenger side that look to be adjustable. Thinking that making the rail longer may load the spring more to keep it from rattling when the top is closed, but a little afraid to mess with them. Has anyone tried this? Have internet searched quite a bit and have not found any info on what these screws on the soft top rails adjust, but they do look like the adjust the length of the rails.
the wd40 lasted 2days and its back, I loosened the cover and used a heavy silicone type grease and that lasted 3 days. I have to find something better.Same. Honestly I still am to a point and may very well do so soon. The squeak is fixed but now Im battling a whistle when there's a cross wind when Im doing 70+mph.

THANK YOU! I’ve been chasing down a chirp that would happen over every little bump and crack. It never dawned on me it was coming from the soft top. Oiled the spring in each side and it’s gone. No longer going insane! The product I used on the spring was "Super Lube 51004 Synthetic Oil with PTFE".
I've used this in the past for rebuilding old vinyl turntables. It's a thick grease made to last on moving parts. No issues over a month later. Wd40 wouldn't likely last very long. I didn't remove any covers, just dropped it down the hole over the spring.
