I have a 2019 Sahara Unlimited with the 3-piece black Freedom top. I have a squeaking/creaking noise over the front passenger door with every bump that appears to involve the roof panel. The noise goes away if I remove that hard top panel and stays gone when I put the panel back for 5 - 10 miles, then returns. Haven't gone to the dealer because I know they will remove the panel, put it back on, and say "its fixed." Everything feels tight when all the levers are fastened and all the gasket material looks fine. Has anyone else had this issue?

Bill: are you saying that you feel the problem lies with Freedom Panel over which a front passenger might reside?

If so, try removing both Freedom Panels and put them back. Let us know what happens.

Good luck : - )

Spray the seals with silicone spray! My JK used to do that and it worked every time.

The problem seems to involve the passenger's side panel just above the passenger's door. Twice I have removed BOTH panels and put them back. Both times the squeak stopped while the panels were removed and stayed gone for a short while. But, after maybe 10 miles, the squeak returned.

Hi wrose66,
We understand your hesitation for not wanting to visit your dealer for this. If you do decide to do so, we'd be happy to assist with that process in order to help fully address this concern. If you're interested, please send us a private message.
