Wait, isn't this thing supposed to be one piece? Now I'm even more curious as to how the top piece got ripped off from the bottom.

You can just cut out the bottom on the lower piece if you want functional hood vents. Most people don't need them, and some people don't want them.

Don't know how, or what, or who, just noticed this while driving to work lol.

Does anyone know if these vents can be purchased?
It’s the special tailgaters edition. You remove the top of the vents, put chips in one side, dips in the other. Your engine keeps everything warm.:like:

I think the top half separated from the bottom half. It looks like they are just stuck together. You can see the residue left behind, looks like gasket or sealant of some sort.. maybe even vhb.. Probably they are not supposed to come apart (doesn't look like it in the video). But they should come apart and snap back together IMO. And if Jeep really is listening, they should do this so we can unsnap it, pop in some BACON on some aluminum foil, close 'er up, and then the bacon will be ready by the end of the trail. That is my suggestion!

ETA: Oops, I forgot, drain hole or not, with the aluminum HEAT SHIELD down below, BLOCKING ANY HEAT FROM ESCAPING, it won't matter, because these truly are NON-FUNCTIONABLE (sic). boo on Jeep... and their marketing rep!
